A remarkable milestone in Voith’s history – 30 years ago today, #Voith established its first branch in China with Voith Hydro Shanghai (VHS). Since then, Voith has been dedicated to supporting the economic growth and sustainable development of the Asia-Pacific region. 🎉

🎶 The holiday season is a contemplative time often accompanied by beautiful concerts. Did you know that Voith’s musical tradition dates back nearly a century? Dr. Hanns Voith introduced voluntary music lessons for the musically enthusiastic #apprentices at the works school. This initiative led to the founding of the #Voith works #orchestra on June 27, 1928, with 30 apprentices. #Voith took over the purchase of the instruments, sheet music, and music stands. After 1.5 years of practice, the orchestra performed for the first time in 1930 at an elderly home. 🎵 In 1931, a string quartet was formed from the most talented students, focusing primarily on classical music. 🎻 One year later, the Voith Orchestra invited all family members, friends, and employees to a free concert in the large hall of the community center in Heidenheim. Over the decades, the orchestra has performed numerous spring, summer, fall, and Christmas concerts. 🎄🎼 In 1962, the orchestra consisted of 56 players, with 73% being Voith employees and 27% other musicians. The photo shows the Christmas concert on December 10, 1966, at the Hermann-Voith-Saal in Heidenheim, featuring works by Corelli and Bach under conductor Gerhard Saal. The Voith Orchestra carries on this cherished tradition, having played its annual #Christmas concert in Heidenheim on December 15, 2024. We are proud that this piece of #history continues to this day and delights everyone. 😊

Our second-year apprentices in industrial mechanics have created an impressive water cascade for the Mooseum Bächingen on request from the Heidenheim District Office. 💧 As part of the project, they carefully bent and welded several 30 mm stainless steel square tubes to accommodate 9 bowls, which were then assembled smoothly. Using glass bead blasting, they created a perfect surface finish for the parts. Well done to our dedicated apprentices at #Voith for their hard work and the great success of this small, but exciting project! 💪

An exciting and intense day with psychology students from the Universität Ulm is behind us.💡🧑🏻🎓 This week, #Voith had the pleasure of welcoming the group to our Heidenheim location. The day kicked off with a pleasant Eat & Meet welcome session, where the students were introduced to the company, were given valuable application tips, and gained personal insights from one of our interns. The students then immersed themselves in the world of HR at Voith, exploring diverse areas ranging from talent acquisition, talent management, and leadership development to the versatile role of an HR Business Partner. 💬A shared lunch and an exciting plant tour were additional highlights, making the day a truly special experience. ✨

📢 We released our financial results for the 2023/24 fiscal year! Despite operating in a challenging market environment characterized by weak economic activity and ongoing geopolitical uncertainty, #Voith achieved a solid financial performance in the past fiscal year. We successfully met our sales targets in all three Group Divisions and increased orders received and cash flow from operating activities. This sound financial position allows us to continue investing in sustainable technologies and the future of Voith.
