🔎 Inside VTG: A commitment to inclusivity Meet Micheline! 🙌 Since joining VTG in September 2012 as a technical draughtswoman, she studied mechanical engineering on the side and received Hamburg's top diploma for her thesis, completed in collaboration with VTG. Since 2018, she took on a key role in the representation of severely disabled employees (SBV). Micheline is dedicated to supporting her colleagues with disabilities, addressing their concerns with empathy and discretion. Here are some of her job-highlights: ✔️ Empowering Others: She works tirelessly to create equal opportunities for all, e.g. by helping to prepare applications to the authorities. ✔️ Personal Connection: Micheline makes sure her colleagues know they can always turn to her for help and provides an environment where colleagues feel safe. ✔️ Networking: She is able to work with a variety of people. These include SBV representatives from other companies, human resources, the works council and the company doctor. Her work has resulted in inspiring stories and Micheline's empathetic and positive manner makes it easy for employees to approach her and ask for help. What makes our new Powder Wagon special? 🔹 6% more load capacity – With a reduced tare weight, the wagon offers a clear advantage over other solutions on the market: more transport volume with the same efficiency. 🔹 Residue-free unloading – Thanks to smooth walls, minimal product adheres, enabling complete unloading and ultimately increasing the possible load capacity over time. Our new powder freight wagons stand for greater efficiency and sustainability in rail freight. With effect from November 18, 2024, Dr. Martin Neese will take over the role of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at VTG Group. As CCO, he reports directly to CEO Alberto Nobis and will serve as the architect and executor of VTG's commercial strategy. His focus will be on developing and expanding strategic accounts to drive profitable growth and breaking into new markets. His responsibilities will include the future-oriented development of VTG´s sales organization and refining VTG's go-to-market strategy across Europe. 🚢 VTG at the TransLogistica Poland Our colleagues Dr. Niko Davids and Luca Giebeler attended Poland's largest trade fair for transport and logistics as part of a delegation trip with Hamburg's Senator for Economic Affairs Dr. Melanie Leonhard and had a successful few days! The fair offered numerous opportunities for insightful discussions, valuable networking and new industry perspectives. The focus of the event centered on the development of Polish ports as a catalyst for sustainable economic growth. In line with the message “One port with many possibilities”, discussions were held on how the port of Gdynia can be expanded with efficient and sustainable logistics solutions. Through targeted investments and the expansion of rail connections, the port is set to become a strong hub in the Baltic-Adriatic corridor - a decisive step towards sustainable freight transport throughout Europe. 🎉 Celebrating 130 Years of AHK debelux - Deutsch-Belgisch-Luxemburgische Handelskammer For 130 years, AHK debelux has successfully contributed to strengthening economic relations between Germany, Belgium, and Luxembourg. During this special anniversary celebration, our colleague Florian Schumacher participated in an engaging panel discussion on “Energy Corridors through Belgium.” He shared insights from the rail perspective, underlining two crucial arguments: 1️⃣ New Energy Products, such as hydrogen, ammonia, e-fuels and LNG, but also CO2, can already be transported sustainably and safely by rail today. 2️⃣ VTG is currently the only asset and rail solution provider in Europe to operate a mobile CO2 fleet and also owns the largest ammonia and methanol fleet in Europe. 3️⃣ Rails make it possible to flexibly connect locations in the hinterland to various terminals and hubs as many companies are not connected to pipeline networks—and don’t need to be. We are delighted to have been part of this inspiring event. It underlines the importance of our shared mission to strengthen international trade and trust-based partnerships to promote future growth. 🚛➡️🚆 Pioneering Intermodal Transport in Spain Last week wednesday, we had the privilege to showcase an innovative demonstration at the CSP Terminal in Zaragoza during the European Freight Leader Conference. For the very first time, a non-cranable semi-trailer was successfully loaded onto an Iberian gauge pocket wagon using the innovative r2L technology! This operation brings us one step closer to further advancing intermodal transport solutions in Spain and beyond. Special thanks go to the CSP Spain terminal in Zaragoza and the Sesé Group for providing the facilities and the Duo trailer, which made an impressive demonstration possible. We are delighted that together with the more than 80 interested participants from the field of intermodal transportation, we were able to achieve a great success with an event of this kind. #IntermodalTransport #TransportationSolutions #SustainableTransport

Every day, thousands of blood donations are needed in Germany to help. Whether it’s for accidents, surgeries, or serious illnesses, blood donations play a crucial role in medical care. A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to donate and to the DRK Blutspendedienst Nord for their support. 🙏 The donation process at our office was not only simple but also a fantastic way to contribute during the workday and make an impact together.
