Berlin is back at South by Southwest (SXSW) to showcase Germany’s capital as Europe's foremost startup hub and creative metropolis. Yesterday’s BERLIN LEVEL event was a true highlight, bringing together Berlin’s boldest ideas, talents, and visions. From groundbreaking panels on AI in music & film, to art exhibitions and a stunning fashion show, the energy was palpable. But let's also take a hard look at the numbers—because while progress is happening, there's still a long way to go for female founders in Germany. 📉 The Reality Check · Female entrepreneurs still face significant barriers, with women making up only 15% of startup founders. (Female Founders Monitor) · From 2023 to 2024, the share even dropped by 1.9 percentage points.
