Last week, Health Tech Hub Copenhagen was thrilled to be part of Slush 2024 in Helsinki, the most founder-focused event on Earth! 🚀 Representing us were our Investment Manager, Nicolas Bouchet and Head of Communications & Events, Anett Falussy. They had a packed schedule and lost their voices, but brought back important insights and experiences to share. Side Events Highlights: 🎉 Innovestor’s 10th Anniversary Celebration This milestone event, held on November 19th at Innovestor HQ, was an inspiring mix of celebration and future-focused insights, making for perfect networking and an unforgettable evening! 🚀 New Nordics HealthTech Matchmaking Hosted by Terkko Health Hub and partner organisations on November 20th, this sold-out side event was a true celebration of health tech innovation across the Nordics. With over 120 startups signed up (including 30 with exhibition booths from Finland, Estonia, and Denmark) as well as 100 investors registered, it was a vibrant evening full of opportunities and new connections. Our 5 Key Takeaways: 💡 Investors are diving into health tech. The health tech sector is booming, with more investors looking to raise health tech specific funds. Investors not yet exposed to health tech are also seeking exposure. If you’re a health tech startup about to raise funds, it is a great time to attract interest! ⚡ AI speed is everything. With AI models rapidly evolving and constantly overtaking each other, it is essential to have processes in place to evaluate and new AI models as they emerge. Agility in AI can be the difference between leading the pack or falling behind. 🌍 Think U.S. for scale. The U.S. offers faster scaling opportunities compared to Europe. If you have global ambitions, you need to build a strategy for entering the U.S. market, or risk losing momentum. 🎯 Product-market fit is your foundation. If you are uncertain about your product-market fit, focus all your energy on validating it. It’s the key to building a strong foundation and unlocking growth opportunities. 🤝 Your team is your greatest asset. Identify a problem you want to spend the rest of your worklife solving, then build your team focusing on resilience and trust. Health tech is definitely on top of the tech agenda, as seen as the Slush 100 Startup Competition: two out of the three finalists were in #healthtech, including the winner of the €1M prize: OASYS NOW. 💪 We are proud to see the growing interest in the Danish Life Science sector, including the health tech ecosystem. From our meetings and serendipity encounters it is clear that investors see Health Tech Hub Copenhagen as a trusted sparring partner and a source of curated deal flow. Danish Technological Institute and Health Tech Hub Copenhagen join forces! With the goal of addressing some of society's most significant welfare and health challenges, the Danish Technological Institute (TI) and Health Tech Hub Copenhagen (HTHC) have entered a strategic partnership. This partnership seeks to secure funding for large national and international projects in collaboration with relevant public and private partners. “This partnership represents a unique opportunity to combine our efforts and tackle some of the most pressing health challenges we face. By combining our resources and expertise, we can create solutions that make a real difference,” says Trine Rolighed Thomsen, Project Director in Healthcare Technology at TI.
