    CEO @ Modash.io - We're hiring!

We've raised $12,000,000 to help brands scale creator partnerships, and help every creator earn a living. 🎉 💌To the most beautiful customers in the world (ours) - thank you a million times for the trust you put in us. We’re working hard to get the admin mess out of the way so you can focus on creative genius and strong relationships. ❤️🔥Modash team - you should be so proud of the work you’ve put in so far. You have helped thousands of marketers to tell great stories, grow great businesses and build strong relationships. That begins to grow the size of the pie. Helping millions of creators around the world to do what they love for a living. Artists, filmmakers, journalists, athletes, comedians, scientists, lovers of music, movies, books, games, cars, science - these are the people who make up the masses of people beneath the tip of the “influencer” iceberg. 🙌 Jan, Mick & henQ team - Welcome! We have always operated in a way that allows us to be selective of our partners. You, unlike any of the 130+ funds we interacted with, matched our mentality. Long term, hard work, undistracted, supportive. 🙏 Icebreaker.vc, Change Ventures - thank you for undying support, for doubling down and for being the perfect of helpful, challenging and having trust in us to execute. 🇪🇪To the Estonian ecosystem - we love you! I spent most of my time with the wildly talented Anna Heim (who authored the article) bragging about how amazing you are. 🇨🇦 Our Toronto office is now open in Downtown. Send me a message if you’re in the area and would like to meet. 🛩️ Series A does not stand for Airplane. This is for customers. With it we’ll deepen our integrations for Ecommerce businesses, add new ways to compensate creators across borders, rethink creator search in a new content-first, A.I world and strengthen our North America teams for our 700 customers in the US and Canada!

If you ask influencer marketers for advice on running Black Friday campaigns, almost everybody will say, "Start early." But, how early is early? We asked around 25 influencer marketers at ecommerce brands and saw that beginning your outreach in August will put you ahead of most. The good news? If you're just starting now, don't stress. You're not 𝑡𝑜𝑜 far behind. #InfluencerMarketing

Are you doing this one thing before making a decision about a paid influencer partnership? It only takes about 1-2 minutes. We asked 29 influencer marketing managers, and almost all of them said yes. They review comments to evaluate whether they can risk working with an influencer for a paid partnership. The green flags in comments: ▶Genuine questions & discussion ▶Evidence that the audience trusts the influencer ▶Seeing the influencer reply & engage with comments  ▶Meaningful positive comments (more than an emoji) The red flags: ▶Lots of emoji-only comments ▶Lots of single-word comments ▶Nonsensical comments that are likely bots/AI ▶Lack of comments entirely It's a simple step that will either increase your confidence or nudge you to walk away. The influencer marketing pros are doing it (almost) every time. Are you?

How do you start a new influencer marketing job with a BANG? (Besides remembering names, finding your perfect-fit Slack channel, and deep-diving into product knowledge) 👉Score 1-2 quick points that make a real impact.  Some ideas 👇 1. Take a whole "thing" off someone's plate: e.g., a campaign, project, event 2. Bring in new perfect-fit talent: this can be from your past network or someone new you find. 3. Clean-up processes: Find unnecessary or ineffective things, and stop doing them 4. Improve processes: Set up a better way for inbound influencer applications 5. Find a big bottleneck and solve it. You want to do your best to set yourself up for long-term success, but if you can make a real difference in your first 30-60 days? ✨ iconic ✨

What sized creators are open to gifting? The answer is: Everyone loves free stuff! The more nuanced answer: it depends on your approach to gifting because *ahem* nothing is free. 🎁 Typically, when you offer a gift with no strings attached, you’ll get more yesses overall, even from influencers with 6 to 7-figure follower counts. But only about 1 in 20 will actually post about your gift. ON THE OTHER HAND 🫱🫲If you’re doing barter deals, those bigger accounts will more than likely say, “Nope, you gotta pay me, buddy!” So, you’re more likely to get yesses from smaller-sized influencers. Think 10k followers or less. But almost all of those influencers will post. What’s the takeaway? Ideally, you want to put your hands together and take both gifting approaches. No strings attached with those larger accounts you’d love to work with. Barter deals with smaller accounts to get content rolling in. If you can’t do both, choose the approach that makes the most sense for your goals. Is it more important to start new relationships? Go with no strings attached. Is it more important to get content out quickly? Go with barter deals.

One way to get a lot of (negative) attention on your brand is to send an influencer a gift and then berate them for not posting about it.  Reminder 👇 A gift is a gift. There are no posting requirements.  A free product in exchange for deliverables is a barter. Let's not confuse the two.

Is influencer gifting actually worth it? 🤔 Survey said: A resounding yes! 🎁 We polled influencer marketers, and 90% said they were already doing gifting initiatives. (The other 10% said they were starting a gifting program soon) Plus, 80% said they were ROI-positive for their brands – with the remaining 20% of marketers saying they weren’t just yet, but they believed they would be soon.
