🌱 Unlocking the Potential of Bio-Waste 🌱 Did you know? The EU27+, Norway, and the UK generate significant amounts of food waste annually, with the theoretical potential to capture up to 60 million tonnes. Yet, 36 million tonnes remain uncollected. With bio-waste collection becoming mandatory under the EU's Waste Framework Directive from January 2024, there’s an enormous opportunity to transform this untapped resource into valuable outputs like bio-based products. At #Brilian, we are dedicated to empowering rural communities and primary producers to lead in sustainable bio-economy practices. By adopting localized solutions and fostering collaboration, we are turning waste into value while reducing environmental impact.
