🎬 𝗠𝗔𝗫-𝗥 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗹: 𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗫𝗥 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 We’re excited to share our latest showreel, highlighting the key advancements made in the first two years of the MAX-R project. 🌐 MAX-R, a 30-month Innovation Action co-funded by the European Union and Innovate UK, brings together 11 partners from across Europe to develop cutting-edge tools and innovations for creating, processing and delivering high-quality XR content. 👁 The new reel provides a glimpse into solutions developed by the consortium - real-time production tools, large-scale immersive experiences, advanced virtual production techniques and tools aiming for the general democratisation of XR content creation. 🚀 Advancing Multi-User VR Streaming: A Successful Collaboration between UPF-WN & UPF-GTI 🎮🌐 The UPF-WN and UPF-GTI teams recently joined forces to test multi-user VR streaming using UPF-GTI’s XR creation tool, Rooms, assessing both network performance and user experience. 🔍 Key Objective: Determine how many concurrent VR users could stream smoothly over a single Wi-Fi access point and evaluate whether UPF-WN’s NeSt-VR (Network-aware Step-wise adaptive bitrate algorithm) could optimize network efficiency. 📊 What We Found: ✅ Up to 4 users: Constant bitrate streaming worked smoothly. ⚠️ 5 users: Network congestion led to packet loss, delays, and lower frame rates, impacting experience. 🔄 With NeSt-VR: Low delays and minimal losses were maintained, ensuring a seamless VR experience even under higher loads. These results highlight the importance of adaptive network-aware streaming in enabling scalable, high-quality multi-user VR. ARRI has taken big steps towards exploitation of virtual production and extended reality related developments with 3rd party professionals. The latest result is the engagement at ISE tradeshow in Barcelona a few days ago, where Samsung hosted the presentation of an LED stage of ARRI’s camera and lighting fixtures, Realtime Department’s digital experience solution and Samsung’s high quality LED screen The Wall. The full integration of those prime components to a ready-to-shoot LED stage guarantees exceptional image quality and ease of use for all corporate broadcast and media environments. “The collaboration with ARRI, Realtime Department and Samsung has significantly lowered the entry barrier for LED production in a practical package and simplified the working method,” said André Rittner at ARRI. “This partnership brings ARRI’s award-winning equipment to the suite of studio production tools, reducing production costs without sacrificing quality.” ARRI’s history of technical and engineering awards and Samsung’s leading LED technology will continue to present new opportunities for businesses to produce detailed, rich and high-quality visuals. #MAXR #ARRI #ISE2025 #VirtualProduction #XR #EUfunded
