Smart site-level methane emissions monitoring with AI-powered infrared 🏭 OGMP 2.0 Level 5 and EU methane regulation require site-level emissions monitoring at upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas facilities. Our autonomous OGI cameras for continuous monitoring can perform tours and scans from elevated areas like a mast or tower, detecting and quantifying methane emissions over much longer periods of time compared to periodic scans such as flyovers and satellites, providing more accurate data and higher probability of detection as operating conditions and activities change in a plant. It was a busy morning at Sulphur + Sulphuric Acid 2024. On the Sulphur Track, discussions focused on plant reliability, availability, and maintenance economics. Kuwait Oil Company’s pioneering approach to sustainable oil recovery took centre stage alongside insights on the challenges of managing European SRU incinerators. The panel also delved into responsibilities for reliability, safety, and operations during extended downtimes, highlighting best practices for uninterrupted performance. In the Sulphuric Acid Track, innovation in digitalisation, energy transition, and the circular economy reshaped the conversation. Presentations on AI-powered infrared imaging demonstrated its potential for real-time leak detection, enhancing safety and precision.
