Take a journey through Finland’s breathtaking icy landscapes. After considering Greenland, Iceland and Canada, the German production company Constantin Film chose the unique frozen landscapes of Finland as the location for "Smilla’s Sense of Snow". Filmed in the stunning Oulu region, the production benefited not only from the area’s production-friendly infrastructure and highly skilled local crew but also from a 25% production incentive secured from Business Finland on a tight schedule.
