Founded in 1997 by Kaci Kébaïli, the GROUPE BBL has built an original model of federation of specialists recognized for their specific know-how in each of the Group's four historical business segments: Contract logistics - Overseas transport - Road transport and groupage - Customs & compliance services. This strategy of "Manufacture of Logistics Solutions" focuses on the coordination of highly specialized and self-driven teams committed to serving their customers' supply-chain. It took only five years for the Groupe BBL from 2017 to 2023, to grow from 440 to 2100 employees and to see its annual revenue raise from 121MEuros up to more than 700 MEuros expected for 2023. Boosted by a very strong upturn of its organic growth, and by a series of acquisitions, the Groupe BBL has recently defined its corporate purpose: “Opening ways!” has become BBL “manifesto” and it will be a strong driver to constantly reinforce the Group cohesion, its structure, and its strategic initiatives.

🎉 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝟒𝟎 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐎𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐎! 🎉 Last week, Lusocargo's teams gathered to mark an incredible milestone: 40 years since its foundation in 1984! As the largest 100% national freight forwarder in Portugal, this achievement highlights everyone’s dedication and resilience into pushing the company towards success. The event counted the presence of Kaci Kébaïli, President & Founder of Groupe BBL, together with Joao Silva and Viriato Albuquerque, respectively Managing Director of Lusocargo and Founder of Lusocargo SUL. Kaci shared his vision, stating, “𝘛𝘰 𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯 𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘸𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘣𝘺 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘢𝘴𝘮 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨-𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘮 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵.” The highlight? Portocargo - Transitários, S.A. our overseas transport subsidiary in Portugal has a new logistics center and customs warehouse in Benavente, nearby Lisbon. This new warehouse (5,500 M2) completes the one their PORTO (OPO) branch has in Maia. The new Benavente logistics center has 15 docks, intended for unloading and general cargo, with an additional door designed for handling heavy, dense and bulky loads. It will allow it to increase the storage and movement capacity of goods in a “strategic area”, with access to the Ports of Sines, Setúbal and Lisbon, and Portela (LIS) airport. Such an inspiring video to understand the way we deal with transport and logistics... Hard work like bees, organization and rules but local initiatives, and respect for the nature (as much as we can - let's be humble)... Like Jamie in our Irish subsidiary, we signed also partnerships with many other beekeepers... 35 colonies of bees in Europe nearby our warehouses. 600 kg of good honey for our clients and partners... Much better than plastic goodies imported from China :-) !
