Last #MediaHat of the year ✨ This edition is a bit lighter on tools and datasets, yet leans more on ideas and food for thought for the year ahead, a chance to pause and think on what’s next.

“Our pitch was that we were representing a dictator in Africa, and we wanted to delay an election.” Dr. Manisha Ganguly, Visual Forensics Lead & Investigations Correspondent at The Guardian, speaks to iMEdD about two significant investigations that won the #IJ4EU Impact Award. The first involves the covert Israeli group "Team Jorge," which, with the help of 30,000 bots, has so far meddled in over 30 democratic elections. In the second, a team of investigative journalists sought to uncover what happens to the bodies of migrants who die while attempting to cross into Europe. Interview with Dimitris Bounias.

Last week, Anna - Kynthia Bousdoukou joined global changemakers at the 2024 Obama Foundation #DemocracyForum in Chicago to led an inspiring panel discussion on Pluralism in Action around the World. Centered on the theme of "pluralism in action"— a celebration of diversity as a cornerstone of democracy —the panel highlighted stories of resilience and connection across four continents.
