At Philips, we care about care. This holiday season, we reflect on what it means to design #healthcare experiences that put people first – for the young, the old, and everyone in between. It’s been at the heart of our innovations for over 130 years – and will remain our focus in 2025. #HealthcareInnovation

For people with complex health conditions, spending the holidays at home instead of in hospital isn’t just a dream – it can be reality. Whether it’s enjoying traditions, sharing a meal, or simply being together, no one should miss out on time with loved ones — a reality we work to make possible all year round, not just during the holidays. In the past, patients needing close monitoring couldn’t easily celebrate at home. But advancements in technology and remote patient monitoring means #healthcare is moving beyond hospital wall, helping people receive specialist care from the comfort of home. At Philips we are focused on advancing equitable and sustainable healthcare. One way we are creating impact is through our Supplier Sustainability Performance program. Recognized in Fortune’s 2024 ‘Change the World’ rankings, this program incentivizes our suppliers to commit to science-based CO₂ emissions reduction targets. We also focus on several human rights impact areas beyond #sustainability, to improve labor conditions and protect workplace health and safety. How can we provide access to care for all? Partnering with local organizations to create solutions is one way Philips Foundation is helping tackle global healthcare challenges, like maternal health and emergency care. In the Netherlands, for example, the Foundation has teamed up with Prinses Máxima Centrum voor kinderoncologie, Stichting Eindhoven Hartveilig and GelijkGezond. Over the past decade these partnerships have resulted in: ✅ Improvements in patient cardiac and cancer outcomes ✅ Reductions in patient wait times ✅ Decreases in #healthcare costs Learn more about how these partnerships are helping deliver better care for more people: https://lnkd.in/dEJPDm8J #HealthEquity

When it comes to cardiovascular disease, timely diagnosis and intervention can mean the difference between life and death. For patients in rural or underserved communities, accessing timely cardiac care can be especially difficult. The good news is that #AI, virtual care, and other digital technologies can help. Carla Goulart Peron, MD MBA, Chief Medical Officer at Philips, explains three ways #healthtech can improve heart health for more people – no matter where they live: https://lnkd.in/eWXMDU6h #cardiology

For radiologist Bouke Boden, it's medical images that play a key role in helping him deliver better care to more people. And here's one story about just one of those patients. When Dr Boden gets a chance to pick up a camera and participate in a photo shoot with dancer Sophie Prins, he doesn’t know that this isn’t the first time he’s seen her. Two years before, he viewed Sophie’s MR scans to help diagnose her cancer. Watch the story unfold: https://lnkd.in/dAga_KdZ #radiology #WorldRadiographyDay #medicalimaging #IDOR24
