Welcome to the first of our HVO FAQ series, where we’ll be addressing common questions and concerns. First up…Can you use your Fuel Card to buy HVO? 🤔 The answer is: yes! All you need to do is top-up like you normally would. There’s no need for engine modifications, draining, or cleaning, so you can use the same vehicle for HVO and diesel - and the same Fuel Card! What’s more, you can still benefit from the extra security and fuel-reporting of your Fuel Cards to manage your fleet effectively, even with HVO. Got more questions? We are excited to announce a new partnership with Škoda Ireland to raise awareness around HVO for diesel vehicle owners.   HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) is a low-carbon biofuel that serves as a direct replacement for regular diesel fuel. It is produced from treating waste plant-matter with hydrogen and reduces carbon emissions by up to 90% compared to traditional diesel.   Currently, we have HVO pumps at Liffey Valley, Co. Dublin, Lee Tunnel Co. Cork and Trim Co. Meath.
