Bridging the Skills Gap in Higher Education with Digital Skills Development! One of the ongoing challenges in India's higher education system is ensuring that academic outcomes align with the demands of the job market. Recognizing this, the DAAD India is supporting the Digital Skills to Succeed in Asia (DS2S) project by GIZ, focused on equipping non-tech university students with essential digital skills for the modern workplace. Last week, Dr. Katja Lasch participated in a networking event, bringing together experts from India, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and Germany. The panel discussion, "The Future of Learning in a Digital World," explored current trends, policies, best practices for digital skills development in higher education and the contribution of industry to curricula development in India, Bangladesh and Vietnam. Initiatives like DS2S are paving the way for a more skilled, adaptable, and job-ready workforce across Asia by sharing and consolidating theoretical and practical knowledge to co-design micro-credentials.
