Berte Masselis you have been an amazing volunteer - your positive attitude and ability to adapt is truly commendable at your age. You have left a marked impression on so many children at Ek Tara We hope you will be back soon.
I’m most proud to announce that over the past three months, I’ve had the privilege of completing my internship at Ek Tara , in India. Ek Tara is an inspiring NGO that transforms vulnerable communities through quality education and skill development. Ek Tara's diverse projects offered me many opportunities to grow. I conducted educational workshops for the educators of the MobileSchool, informed children about sustainability and first aid, assisted teachers in English and craft classes and much more. But what really inspired me, is that all of this is done with girls and women from Kolkata’s largest slum communities. This experience made me truly understand the power of education. It can break the cycle of poverty and creates opportunities for brighter futures. And that is what Ek Tara brings to life. It was an unforgettable learning experience that taught me more than books ever will. A heartfelt thank you to: 👏 The incredible staff, for their enduring passion in transforming lives and building a brighter society. 👧 All the children, for inspiring me and reminding me of life’s true priorities. 💪 Anupriya Bhattacharya, for the daily encouragement and for never stopping to push me to my limits. 🙌 StreetSmart Youth Work, for connecting me with this inspiring NGO and believing in me like no other. 🫶 And all of you who supported and encouraged me throughout this journey. These past months have been incredible, and I’m more than grateful to Ek Tara for giving me this opportunity and supporting me throughout my internship. I'm saying goodbye to Ek Tara for now, but they’ll hear from me soon! Always just a message away. ⭐️
