Seva Sahayog Foundation proudly hosted the Conclave on “Role of Development Sector in Building Viksit Bharat” at the NSE India Auditorium, Mumbai, celebrating 15 years of empowering communities through education, empowerment, and environmental sustainability. We thank NSE India as our venue Partners and TJSB Sahakari Bank Ltd as our event partners. The conclave brought together visionaries from corporates, academia, NGOs, and government, fostering meaningful discussions on collaborative strategies to achieve India’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. It was an delight to visit the National Stock Exchange (#NSE) and witness firsthand the incredible growth and innovation that has shaped India’s capital markets. Staring at the iconic bell of the NSE, I couldn't help but reflect on the journey that has transformed the country's financial landscape. A Moment of Pride It was truly inspiring to hear Mr. Ashish Chauhan, MD & CEO of NSE, about the market’s evolution. Starting with a market capitalization of ₹4 lakh crore, NSE today stands at ₹450 lakh crore, showcasing the tremendous progress and trust investors have placed in the system.  Building Trust in the Markets The market is fundamentally built on trust—a leap of faith by investors, businesses, and the broader society. Only 30 of India's 19,000 PIN codes don't have investors, the expansion and inclusivity of the market is a testament to its reach in every corner of the country!  Financial Inclusion at the Forefront India, a country with an annual per capita income of ~$3,000 only, NSE’s stride is stupendous as with innovations in platforms like Zerodha, with convenience, even small retailers can be part of economic growth.  Social Impact through Finance NSE's Social Stock Exchange is yet another powerful new initiative.  Some projects have already been listed, I am eagerly waiting to see how the capital market will create not only economic wealth but also positive societal change. ☀️ Celebrating CSR Collaboration and Employee Engagement ☀️ On International Volunteers Day (5th December 2024), Seva Sahayog Foundation hosted an impactful Employee Engagement Workshop at the President Hotel, Pune, bringing together 33 representatives from 24 companies to explore innovative ways to enhance CSR participation and foster a culture of community service. ✨ Event Highlights: The day started with a ceremonial diya lighting, symbolizing unity and collective growth. Mr. Vinit Kondejkar, SSF’s representative, shared the foundation’s journey of mobilizing corporate volunteers for meaningful social causes. Ms. Anjali Vambhurkar shared her inspiring volunteer journey, emphasizing the personal and professional growth gained through volunteering. ⭕ Collaborative Discussions: The workshop featured 11 round table discussions, where corporate leaders explored: Benefits: Strengthening empathy, team bonding, and creating opportunities for social impact. Challenges: Managing priorities, ensuring sustainability, and overcoming logistical barriers. Expectations: Aligning CSR activities with employee skills and connecting CSR with festivals and entertainment for greater engagement. ⭕ Recognition and Awards: The event also celebrated the winners of the blog competition on the theme “Celebrating Volunteering,” recognizing their outstanding contributions: 1st Place: Prasad Tavate (Amdocs) 2nd Place: Hrishikesh Chawda (HSBC) 3rd Place: ramesh bindroo (Ideas Revenue Solutions) & Suvarna Khollam (HSBC Technologies) The day concluded with inspiring addresses from Mr. Nikhil Bhilegaonkar, the Chief Guest, and Mr. Atul Nagras, Chairperson of SSF, who emphasized the importance of fostering a family-like bond through CSR efforts. Proud Moment of Collaboration & Support! On 19th October 2024, Seva Sahayog Foundation, in partnership with Black & Veatch, contributed to a brighter future for hearing-impaired children at The Rotary Special School, New Panvel. We inaugurated and distributed hearing aids, audiometers, e-learning software, school uniforms, smart TVs, refrigerators, and washing machines to enhance their learning environment.
