[en] In this paper authors describe the field trip to the territory of Chernobyl NPP. They obtained samples from contaminated territory which were analysed on the presence of plutonium-238 and plutonium-239.

[en] The adsorption of cobalt on selected sorbent was studied by radio-indicator method, at batch experimental assembly. Distribution coefficients and percentage of adsorption were determined for system bentonite - cobalt as a function of mixing time. Bentonite from Jelsovy potok area was selected for adsorption study.

[en] This work was focused on the study of sorption properties of nickel on chitosan. Sorption of nickel on the selected sorbents was studied by batch method. Radionuclide ⁶³Ni was used as a tracer. Langmuir isotherm was used for interpretation of the sorption of nickel on chitosan by varying the concentration of Ni²⁺ cations in aqueous phase.

[en] LIBS is the acronym of laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy spectroscopy of laser-induced spark. CFLIBS is based on determining of representation of individual elements by Saha-Boltzmann diagrams. In the thesis the authors developed Java program, where evaluating of processed spectrum by method CFLIBS is implemented. The program was tested on samples of known concentration. The authors used two samples - air and metallic strips. The results corresponded to indicated concentration of samples with typical accuracy for used method.

[en] For the study of interactions of low-energy electrons with the molecules in the gas phase, the authors used electron-molecule cross-beam apparatus. The experiment is carried out in high vacuum, where molecules of the tested compound are inducted through a capillary. For purposes of this experiment the sample was electrically heated to 180 Deg C., giving a bundle of GlyGly molecules into the gas phase. The resulting signals can be evaluated in two different modes: mass spectrum - at continuous electron energy (e.g. 100 eV) they obtained the signal of intensity of the ions according to their mass to charge ratio; ionization and resonance spectra - for selected ion mass when the authors received the signal of intensity of the ions, depending on the energy of interacting electron.

[en] The paper is focused on preparation of radionuclide ²¹²Pb for its further application. ²¹²Pb radioisotope has radiogenic origin of a series of ²³²Th. The given radionuclide ²¹²Pb (10.6 h) was captured from Th-source on niobium emmanator shims by influence of electric field at a voltage of 310 V. ²¹²Pb was then eluted from the shims to dilute solution of HNO₃. ²¹²Pb thus prepared in this way was then applied at radioindicator study of adsorption processes of clay rocks - bentonites.

[en] The aim of this work was to study the influence of mineralogical composition of bentonite adsorbents of Jelsovy potok bearing and standards of montmorillonite SAz-1 and STx-1 on adsorption behavior of strontium cations. In the experiment, Jelsovy potok bentonite showed good adsorption behavior compared with montmorillonite standards. Based on demonstration of the impact of mineralogical composition of adsorbents on adsorption percentage of strontium cations Jelsovy potok bentonite may be considered to be utilizable for multi-barrier system of a deep geological repository for high-level waste and spent nuclear fuel.
