Yesterday was the CSM University Fair! With 31 amazing universities in attendance, students had the chance to explore endless possibilities and discover their future academic paths. At CSM, the aim of our University and Career Counselling program is to provide a comprehensive preparation and knowledge base for students and families, enabling them to make informed decisions about their post secondary education. Participation at events such as our University Fair, encourages students to discover different global university destinations and options, so they can find the best fit university or post secondary option for them. A big thank you to all the universities who joined us and to our students for their enthusiasm and curiosity! We can’t wait to see where your educational journey takes you.

This week, our high school students competed in the annual ASI Studenti in Campo Padel tournament! A huge congratulations to our U18 girls, who defended their title and came out on top for the second year in a row! After dominating their group and winning a tough semi-final, they triumphed 4-2 in the final! 👏 Well done to everyone who played and the incredible effort from all of the CSM teams!

Last week, our Grade 5 students led a thoughtful assembly to honour Remembrance Day. The students spoke confidently in front of the entire Primary School, explaining the significance of the poppy as a symbol of hope and remembering the soldiers who fought for peace. They also expanded the concept by highlighting the importance of today’s essential workers—police, firefighters, and healthcare workers—who continue to make sacrifices to keep us safe. Well done, Grade 5, for showcasing excellent leadership and public speaking skills. The assembly ended with a shared minute of silence to reflect and remember.  #csm #canadianschoolofmilan

On October 18, a group of Grade 11 students attended the historic ‘Poetry on the Lake’ festival in Orta San Giulio, where they participated in the International Competition for the 2024 Young Wyvern Awards. They joined workshops, wrote poetry, and celebrated as their classmate Davide won the award for Best Italian Poem! With a sunny afternoon and beautiful views, it was a perfect day for words, creativity, and celebration. #csm #canadianschoolofmilan

Last weekend, the Duke of Edinburgh students embarked on their first hike of the year. The DoE is an inspiring program designed to encourage young people to challenge themselves and develop valuable life skills through adventurous activities and personal growth. Starting in Brunate after a funicular ride from Como, they tackled a challenging 6.5-hour trek—impressive for those new to hiking. Despite the tough terrain, the students pushed through with determination and should be proud of their efforts. It was a memorable weekend for all! #csm #DoE #outdoors #ibworldschool

Yesterday, Grade 6 embraced the great outdoors on their Survivor Day trip to Gussago! They navigated challenges from fire-building to first-aid, and hiked through nature’s wonders. This morning, our Primary and Middle School students participated in the annual Terry Fox Walk, raising funds for cancer research and honoring the legacy of this Canadian hero. They reflected on the importance of perseverance and resilience, values that Terry Fox embodied. All donations will be sent to the Terry Fox Foundation to support their continued fight against cancer. #csm #canadianschoolofmilan

Our nursery class is thriving during their first full week of school! From practicing their numbers to exploring all the books in the cosy reading nook, these little learners are already showing how much they love learning.
