On 26th November, 30 of our members had the privilege of visiting PwC Kenya for an industrial visit! This experience provided valuable insights into the operations of one of the Big 4 firms in the world. We had the opportunity to engage with professionals from various departments,learning about their roles, responsibilities, and the innovative solutions they bring to the dynamic field of accounting and finance. Special thanks to Dr. Benson Okundi for the keynote speech he gave and CPA Alice Ngetich for the support in organizing the visit. We had speakers from each sector; CPA Alice Ngetich and Fredrick Ogolla who talked about the Assurance Private line , Stella Githinji ( Associate Director, MBA, CPA-K) - Government & Public Sector (G&PS) , Bonface Mbaabu CPA, CIA, CISA - Consulting & Risk Services, Angela Kanina - Deals, Joseph N. Khaemba and Daniel Muia - Tax Services, Brenda Kiptum and Precious Mwangi who spoke about Human Capital and the MC of the day Rodgers Ademba who also spoke about Capital Markets & Advisory. Many thanks to Joshua Maloba who assisted with the technical part of the visit , Christine Kamau for the great hospitality she gave us. The visit reinforced our passion for the profession and inspired us to continuously seek growth and excellence. On 20th November, 25 of our members had the privilege of visiting Deloitte for an insightful industrial visit! We explored Deloitte's values, gained a deeper understanding of their operations, and discovered how they consistently deliver excellence and make an impact in whatever they do. A special thank you to our MC Nyaguthii Ivy , our chief speakers Doreen Mbogho Karanja , Gladys Makumi and Esther Ndivo and our panelists Ian Rawlins, FMVA® Clinton Wafula,FIA C.Act Elizabeth Njeri , Paul Muturi for actively engaging with the students andmaking the experience memorable and enriching. It was an exceptional experience to witness 30 of our members engage with the inspiring insights shared by our esteemed Chief Speaker - Ronald N. Bwosi , not to forget the Ronalds LLP program - The Professional Accountancy Training(PAT). Your presence and participation enriched the experience for all involved and we truly were inspired. Today, 8th November, 2024 I have had an opportunity to visit the Kasneb Office - Marketing Department. I am very humbled to be a Kasneb Brand Ambassador with my colleague Annah Mwikali for the University of Nairobi Faculty of Business and Management Sciences & Accounting Students Association (ASA)_UoN I have received Brand Ambassadors merchandise from our Lead caroline baragu.
