Kalle Kuusik was part of an expert panel at Äripäev and ITuudised’s first AI Practitioners Annual Conference, where he discussed the implementation of #AI across various industries. ⚙️ He was joined by Erik Vetemaa from Bilance and Juhan-Madis Pukk from Flowit, with Indrek Kald from ITuudised moderating. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 from the panel: 📎 Companies should always keep in mind the business problem they are trying to solve or the goal they want to achieve when implementing AI solutions. 📎 Leaders should support the adoption of AI in companies, as it is likely to become the new norm. Manage risks, but don’t be afraid of AI. 📎 High-quality data is crucial for effective AI solutions—reliable partners can support this. 📎 Optimism about AI’s impact varies widely, from “just a tool” to beliefs that it will transform the workforce in the next 10–20 years. In the meantime, Kadi Laitamm and Indrek Hallik were at the Tilde stand, connecting with attendees and showcasing what we do. The event brought together nearly 150 AI experts and enthusiasts. A huge thanks to Äripäev, ITuudised, and everyone who joined! 🚀 📸: Marko Mumm #AIConference #ArtificialIntelligence #AIImplementation #AIAdoption

💡 “AI isn’t here to replace us. It’s a tool that works alongside people, adding value to what language experts already do.” — Andrejs Vasiļjevs, Executive Chairman at Tilde. Last week, Andrejs joined EU officials, language technology leaders, and policy experts at the Translating Europe Forum 2024 to discuss the rapid developments in generative #AI in the #EU. Topics included the potential and challenges of generative AI, the importance of human oversight, and how technology can support linguistic diversity. Some insights Andrejs shared: ▪️ While #LLMs are adaptable across many applications, they aren’t equally effective for all languages. For smaller languages, AI models still rely on human expertise for accuracy. ▪️ Language professionals play an essential role in verifying AI outputs, particularly in capturing cultural nuances and preventing biases that LLMs may overlook. ▪️ Tilde is using the most powerful supercomputer in Europe to develop TildeLM – a foundational large language model designed to bridge gaps in AI support for Baltic and Eastern European languages. 🎥 Watch the full discussion on YouTube for more insights from Andrejs and the panel! https://lnkd.in/dFuxUU96 Learn more about #TildeLM here: https://tilde.ai/tildelm/ Elinor Wahal Helen Dobby Ondřej Bojar European Commission Charles University #LanguageTechnology #GenerativeAI #LinguisticDiversity #DigitalEurope #2024TEF #Lumi

What’s AI really good at—and where does it still fall short? 👀 Last week, we explored this question at Tilde’s event on smart chatbots and AI innovation in Vilnius, Lithuania. From advanced AI tools to practical implementation, our speakers unpacked how organisations can use chatbots not only to save time and cut costs but to make information accessible and accurate. 📌 Here’s a quick recap of the key insights: ▪️ AI is advancing, but it’s not all-knowing. Dr. Jurgita Kapočiūtė-Dzikienė presented the key scientific milestones that laid the foundation for today’s #LLM technologies, explaining their fundamentals and why these models are challenging to train and prone to hallucinations. Additionally, she offered insights into future perspectives on how this technology might evolve. ▪️ Jurgita Baldyšienė highlighted that when human expertise and AI come together, routine tasks are streamlined, freeing teams to focus on what really matters. Her message? AI doesn’t replace human expertise; it empowers it, improving efficiency with capabilities like 24/7 support, multilingual responses, and better handling of routine inquiries. ▪️ Kristina Rodevič-Savicka introduced us to 𝙑𝙖𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙨, Valstybinė darbo inspekcija prie Socialinės apsaugos ir darbo ministerijos intelligent assistant designed to manage high volumes of inquiries across multiple platforms. 𝙑𝙖𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙨 supports both VDI staff and the public with guidance on labour law, employee safety, and health, bringing a new level of accessibility and efficiency to public services. ▪️ With Giedrius Karauskas leading, a panel of clients discussed what they learned from launching their own chatbots. The verdict? Choosing the right AI tools—and knowing when not to use them—is key to maintaining both performance and trust. A big thanks to everyone who joined us! 🚀 We were thrilled to see such great interest in AI and a full house, with strong participation from a wide range of government organisations. When it comes to AI language tech, we know exactly what works and why. Got questions? Let’s talk about what AI can do for your organisation. #AI #Chatbots #GenerativeAI #CustomerService #PublicSector #Innovation
