📢 Le Documentaire ESPOIRS de Mañana Films ET L'EQUIPE remporte le Prix du Documentaire Peace and Sport aux SPORTEL Awards ESPOIRS raconte l'histoire de jeunes filles et garçons issus de communautés marginalisées qui, grâce au sport, trouvent non seulement une voie vers la réussite personnelle, mais également une occasion de surmonter les défis sociaux et économiques auxquels ils sont confrontés. À travers des portraits intimes, le documentaire montre comment le sport devient un outil d’éducation à la paix, d'égalité des chances et d'émancipation des jeunes. Ce documentaire s'aligne pleinement avec les axes de plaidoyer de Peace and Sport, en particulier la promotion de l’éducation à la paix, l’inclusion et l’émancipation des jeunes filles par le sport. Les parcours de Ranya, surfeuse marocaine, Kailash, jeune breakdancer indien, et Chrispine, athlète kenyan, en sont la parfaite illustration. ESPOIRS met en lumière le sport comme un levier pour transformer les vies et les communautés, un principe central pour Peace and Sport. Nicolas Jambou et Jean Verdon, réalisateurs du documentaire avec Sacha Chelli ont déclaré :« Nous sommes très honorés de recevoir ce prix prestigieux. Avec ESPOIRS, nous voulions montrer la puissance du sport pour transformer des vies, en particulier pour des jeunes qui vivent des situations compliquées. Pour nos jeunes, le sport et les compétitions servent de bouée de sauvetage, et leur permettent de tenir debout. Ce film est un hommage à leur courage, à leur détermination et à leur capacité à surmonter les obstacles pour continuer à pratiquer le sport. » Florent Pietrus, Champion de la Paix et membre du Jury des Sportel Awards, a ajouté : "En tant que Champion de la Paix, je suis profondément touché par le message du documentaire Espoirs. Ce film révèle les parcours de jeunes qui trouvent dans le sport non seulement une voix, mais aussi une voie vers un avenir plus prometteur. Et ça nous pousse à multiplier nos efforts pour construire des communautés pacifiques grâce au sport. » Le Prix du Documentaire Peace and Sport célèbre, depuis 2015, le travail de réalisateurs engagés, qui mettent en valeur le sport comme outil de construction d’une culture de paix. En transformant des actions concrètes et des parcours de vie en récits inspirants qui touchent les cœurs et mobilisent les esprits, ces documentaires permettent d’inciter d’autres à suivre cet exemple transformateur. #PrixSocrates #BallondOr Jenni Hermoso has been honored with the Socrates Award at the prestigious Ballon d’Or ceremony held at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, following in the footsteps of previous winners Sadio Mané and Vinicius Junior. Hosted by Didier Drogba, Vice President of Peace and Sport, and Sandy Heribert, the evening celebrated the remarkable achievements of professional footballers, both on the field and in society. The Socrates Award was awarded in the presence of Rai, brother of Socrates, the iconic figure who inspired the creation of this prize. Jenni Hermoso becomes the first female recipient of the Socrates Award, recognized for her dedication to gender equality. Her exemplary career and advocacy for women’s rights in football have made her an inspiration to future generations and have motivated athletes worldwide. She stated – “I want to thank everyone for this award, as it truly means a lot to me. It makes me even more aware of the responsibility we have as athletes, both on and off the field. I speak in the plural because this award is not only mine, but also belongs to all my teammates, as equality is not always a reality.
