This quote inspires me always!😍 😊Imagine a classroom where teachers are not just individuals occupying their own little islands, but a dynamic team of professionals who come together to share, inspire, and elevate one another. That's the power of collaborative teaching, and it's a game-changer that every educator should embrace. 😊Imagine the joy of brainstorming lesson plans, swapping teaching strategies, and troubleshooting challenges with a group of like-minded individuals who genuinely want to see you succeed. ...and when teachers come together, the possibilities are truly mind-blowing and fun - the kind of fun that makes you jump out of bed every morning, eager to make a difference in the lives of your students and your fellow educators.🤩👏🎊 Cheers to a collaborative week! #eylinitiative #teacherscollaboration

A handy reminder ❤️ Establishing non-negotiable classroom rules is essential for creating a safe and respectful learning environment. These rules should be clear, simple, and consistently enforced. To implement them effectively, involve learners in the discussion, and allow them to contribute and understand the rationale behind each rule. Use positive language and model desired behaviours. 😊 #eylinitiative #earlychildhoodeducation #classroommanagement

SPECIAL EDUCATION TUESDAYS WITH Vicky Wilson-Woko Did you know... 💡Special Education is not just for Persons Living with Disabilities (PLwD). 💡 Anyone can experience sensory sensitivities. 💡ADHD is not a learning disability. 💡Not every child who reverses letters has dyslexia. 💡Not every one with special needs requires special education services. #specialeducationtuesayswithvicky #eylinitiative

MULTISENSORY APPROACH TO TEACHING READING 🔶 Tactile reading: Use sand, rice, or shaving cream to practice reading. 🔶 Sensory bins: Fill bins with beads, rice, or sand and hide words or letters. 🔶 Reading scavenger hunt: Find and read words in different environments. 🔶 Audio-visual reading: Listen to audiobooks while following text. 🔶 Finger tracing: Trace words with fingers to reinforce phonemic awareness. #linkedinfamily, which of these strategies have you tried? Multisensory activities engage multiple senses (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile) to help children with dyslexia learn and retain information more effectively. #specialeducationtuesdayswith Vicky Wilson-Woko #eylinitiative #dyslexiaawareness #multisensorylearning

On this World Mental Health Day, it’s vital to emphasize the role of teachers, caregivers, guardians, and parents in supporting children’s mental health. 🤩 In many communities, open communication can be a powerful tool. Creating safe spaces for children to express their feelings fosters emotional openness. Teachers can facilitate discussions about mental health in classrooms, breaking down stigma and encouraging children to share their experiences. 😍 Establishing consistent routines is also important. Many families face economic hardships, making stability crucial for children’s emotional well-being. Routines in daily activities, such as study time and family meals, provide a sense of security. 🥰 Encouraging physical activity through local sports or community events promotes both physical and mental health. Engaging children in traditional games can also strengthen cultural ties and foster social connections. 🥳 Let’s commit to supporting our children’s mental health, ensuring they have holistic opportunities to grow, thrive, and develop resilience in the face of challenges. 👏 #eylinitiative #mentalhealthawareness #MentalHealthMatters #mentalhealthawqrenessforchildren

❤️ Teachers' Role in Supporting Children To Thrive In a cozy early years classroom filled with laughter and colourful artwork, a group of young children gathered around a table, excitedly constructing a tower of blocks. Their teacher, Ms. Lois, watched with a gentle smile, her heart swelling with pride. She knew that each block they placed was not just a physical structure but also a foundation for their growth. ☺️ One day, while the children were deep in play, a new student, Faith, hesitated at the edge of the group. She clutched her favorite stuffed bunny, unsure of how to join in. Ms. Lois noticed and knelt down to Faith's level, her voice soft and inviting. “Would you like to help us build the tallest tower?” she asked, her eyes sparkling with encouragement. Faith's face lit up with a mixture of surprise and excitement. With Ms. Lois's gentle guidance, she approached the table. “Let’s make it even taller!” Faith exclaimed, her confidence blooming as she added her own colourful blocks. 🥰 The other children cheered her on, and soon, they were all working together, laughing and sharing ideas. As the tower grew, so did Faith's sense of belonging. Ms. Lois knew that her role was not just to teach but to nurture a safe space where every child felt valued. 👏 💐 In that moment, surrounded by joy and creativity, Ms. Lois realized that when teachers actively engage and uplift their students, they create a vibrant community where every child can thrive, explore, and flourish. 💐 You are encouraged to embrace this philosophy, reminding ourselves on a daily basis that our support can pave the way for each child's individual journey in and out of our classroom. #earlychildhoodeducation #eylinitiative #teachers
