On the second day of the two-day SRHR Advocacy Training for women with disabilities, organized by SID and sponsored by Hivos , participants explored the Overview of disability in Nigeria and gained an in-depth understanding of the Disability Rights Act. The session was expertly facilitated by @tetomie to equip women with the knowledge needed to advocate for their rights and foster a more inclusive society. This training not only empowers women with disabilities to champion their Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) but also strengthens their capacity to advocate for the full implementation of disability rights in Nigeria. SID was ably represented by our Program Officer, Gloria Williams , at the Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Act Review Training, organized by THINK POSITIVE LIVE POSITIVE SUPPORT INITIATIVE (TPLPI) . This important training provided valuable insights into strengthening advocacy and implementation of the VAPP Act to protect vulnerable populations and ensure justice. We extend our sincere gratitude to THINK POSITIVE LIVE POSITIVE SUPPORT INITIATIVE (TPLPI) for the invitation and for their dedication to advancing the fight against violence in our communities.
