On the second day of the two-day SRHR Advocacy Training for women with disabilities, organized by SID and sponsored by Hivos , participants explored the Overview of disability in Nigeria and gained an in-depth understanding of the Disability Rights Act. The session was expertly facilitated by @tetomie to equip women with the knowledge needed to advocate for their rights and foster a more inclusive society. This training not only empowers women with disabilities to champion their Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) but also strengthens their capacity to advocate for the full implementation of disability rights in Nigeria. Together, we are paving the way for a more equitable future! Sustainable Impact and Development Initiative (SID), with support from Hivos , hosted a two-day advocacy training focused on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for women with disabilities. The first day featured an enlightening session on the overview of SRHR and strategies for advocating for SRHR for persons with disabilities, led by Halimat Omowumi Olaniyan, our expert facilitator. This training reflects our commitment to inclusivity and ensuring that everyone, regardless of ability, has access to the knowledge and tools needed to champion their rights.
