  • 📢 Announcement! 📢 We are excited to share that our research proposal on "Exploring the Intersection of Climate and Feminist Funding through CSR Frameworks in Emerging Market Economies", developed by our very own founders Beatrice Maneshi and Aviva Stein, together with Aditi Mukund of the Women In International Relations Network (WIRN) and Leonida Odongo, has been selected out of 123 proposals by the #WalkingTheTalk Consortium, composed of Restless Development, Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy, Equipop and Hivos! As part of the call for papers for the upcoming "Financing for Feminist Futures" conference, we will be examining how feminist organizations and climate justice movements can better align and cooperate to access public and private funding in countries with emerging markets such as Kenya and India as part of regulations to promote fair, just, and sustainable futures for all. Watch this space for insights, trends, and intersectional feminist advocacy! #GenderEquality #FeministFunding #Research #ClimateAction #Sustainability #CSR #FloraFaunaAndFeminists #ClimateJusticeIsGenderjustice

We’re entering this rest with gratitude for all we’ve accomplished, and we’re excited to return in 2025, ready to take on the world once again with renewed focus and energy. • Migration is not a threat. It’s a response to a world that pushes people to the margins through conflict, poverty, and instability When we look at migration as an interconnected story of people navigating systems of survival, power, and opportunity, we see a much richer picture. We see human lives—people with stories, families, dreams, struggles, and a desire for safety, and dignity. Trump's call for mass deportations is about weaponizing immigration policies and destabilizing communities. Deportations are not just about removing people from one place to another—they are about the human cost. Parents separated from their children. Workers sent back into war zones. Communities left to pick up the pieces after their neighbors are taken away. The resources required to carry out such an operation would be astronomical—thousands of officers, detention centers, and judges, all for a plan that leaves destruction in its wake. Migration is not a crime, and it's not the problem - injustice, inequality, and exclusion are. Today, on this International Migrants Day, we stand in solidarity with migrants everywhere and commit to creating a future where everyone can thrive, regardless of where they come from. 🌍✨ #InternationalMigrantsDay #HumanRights #SocialJustice

  • Grassroots movements are led by communities directly impacted by injustice. They’re not waiting for change; they’re creating it. By organizing locally and building power, they challenge oppressive systems and protect marginalized voices. 📢 SWIPE to Learn more about how to organize grassroots movements to protect marginalized communities. #GrassrootsMovements #CommunityMobilizations #SocialJustice

  • For over a decade, the Assad regime and other factions in Syria have used laws as weapons—seizing homes, displacing millions, and erasing communities. This wasn’t just a war. It was a deliberate attack on the rights and dignity of an entire people. And where was the world? Silent. PAX Netherlands got off the sidelines and fought back, working directly with Syrians to take control of their futures. Through the “Promoting a Victims’ Centered Response to HLP Violations” project, PAX empowered communities from the Northwest to Northeast of Syria. They gave people a voice in the fight for their land, their homes, their justice. In collaboration with the U.S. Department of State, PAX set the stage for real change, promoting peacebuilding and transitional justice across the country. This year we conducted an independent evaluation of the project, measuring its impact, relevance, and sustainability. This fight is far from over. The battle for rights, dignity, and justice continues. And we’re not stopping now. On this #HumanRightsDay we continue to demand accountability and stand with those who are still fighting for their rights and dignity. ✊ Read the full case study here: https://bit.ly/3OiFbOQ #Syria #Justice #Peace #Advocacy #HLPViolations #StandUpForHumanRights #Catalystas

  • With the world facing an unprecedented amount of turmoil and uncertainty, from the impacts of climate change and natural disasters, to conflicts erupting and continuing, to the right-wing shift of many governments towards fascism and dictatorial tendencies, strategic planning may feel pointless. But strategy and planning remain critical for organizational growth and development, no matter how daunting it may seem.In watching the emerging shifts in global policies, we are seeing shrinking space for civil society and higher competition for rapidly dwindling public funding - both from government donors and multilateral institutions. We are seeing trends towards isolationism, nationalism, and domestic focuses as nations grapple with economic uncertainties and rising inflation, increasing poverty and insecurity concerns, and continued flows of refugees and economic migrants. We are seeing increasing calls for localization and direct, unrestricted funding, even as administrative and compliance burdens grow as transparency and accountability take center stage as key values in the public sphere. We are also seeing a swift change to digital architecture, with AI tools growing in usage, digital security an increasingly critical component of organizational operations, and technology facilitating remote work and management. As we consider all of these elements and shifting dynamics, strategic planning becomes a core enabler of flexibility and adaptable approaches. While planning may feel futile, in fact it is an essential part of being able to effectively respond to needs as they emerge, to make predictions about what further shifts may occur and how to address them, and to create contingency plans, exit plans, and partnership plans that can help organizations to pivot, adapt, and continue their crucial work with minimal interruption to essential services. At Catalystas, we have a long track record of helping NGOs, government agencies, finance institutions, private companies and multilateral organizations understand the potential impacts of changing landscapes, and plan for every scenario. From designing alternative fundraising approaches to choosing the right projects and partners to invest in, to creating organizational 5-year strategic plans, we've provided strategic advisory services to over 20 clients, always rooted in evidence-based research, context specific analysis, and of course, an intersectional feminist lens.If looking towards the future is feeling overwhelming, don't just hope for the best. Our experts are ready to help you strategize on how to handle the best case scenario, worst case scenario, and everything in between. • It’s always so lovely to finally put a name to a face—especially in real life! This past weekend, Beatrice Maneshi, Aviva Stein, and Rami Touma had the chance to meet in person, and for Aviva, it was the first time meeting Rami after years of working together remotely! 💛 We don’t often get the chance to connect in person, so when we do, it’s really special. We also celebrated Rami’s birthday in Amsterdam, which was the perfect way to spend the day—full of great conversations, laughter, and a reminder of the amazing people behind Catalystas! 🎂 Cheers to more moments like this! #CatalystasConsulting

  • Over 1 billion people worldwide live with some form of disability. Yet, they face barriers that keep them from fully participating in society—barriers to opportunities, barriers to justice, barriers to their rights - too often, people with disabilities are pushed aside, denied access to education, healthcare, jobs, transportation, and, most painfully, denied the chance to thrive. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development says it loud and clear: no one should be left behind. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has laid out targets to ensure people with disabilities have the same rights, opportunities, and futures as anyone else—but we're still fighting for that vision to be realized. We don’t just want inclusion; we demand it. When we talk about human rights, we talk about the right to live fully, the right to learn, to work, to contribute. Today, on International Day of Persons with Disabilities, let’s stand up for the over 1 billion people who deserve access, opportunities, and dignity. Let’s listen to their stories, amplify their voices. And let’s commit to removing the barriers that stop people with disabilities from thriving. 💥 It’s not just about policy change—it’s about people. Real people. With real dreams. We need a world where everyone has a seat at the table, where no one is left out or held back. Together, we can build a world where EVERYONE has the chance to live, learn, and thrive. We will fight for that world. And we won’t stop until it’s a reality. #IDPD2024 #HumanRights

  • 🌍 On this International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Catalystas Consulting stands with the people of Palestine, whose resilience and strength have inspired us over years of collaboration. Through our work supporting TVET, entrepreneurship, private sector development, peace and security, and gender empowerment, we’ve seen firsthand the unwavering spirit of Palestinians as they build toward a future in the face of unimaginable hardship. Today, one of our Founders Beatrice Maneshi explains that resilience is tested as never before. With nearly 50,000 lives lost across Gaza and the West Bank, devastating conflict, and a humanitarian crisis without resolution, the call for justice and peace in Palestine is louder than ever. We must unite to support an end to the violence and stand with the Palestinian people as they continue their fight for dignity, human rights, and peace. #SolidarityWithPalestine #CatalystasConsulting #InternationalDayofSolidarity #Resilience #PeaceAndJustice
