2025 kicks off with exciting developments at BUILD UP! As Member States accelerate efforts to implement the recast Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), we hosted a live talk featuring Pau Garcia Audi, Policy Officer at DG ENER (European Commission). Introduced by Hans Rhein and Luca Angelino, Head of Unit and Project Adviser at CINEA, alongside Miguel Angel Gomez Zotano Zotano from NTT DATA, and moderated by Zia Lennard, MBA, EU Project Manager at R2M Solution, Garcia Audi provided an update on the revised EPBD. He focused on emerging roles, progress toward neutrality targets, and the European Commission’s forthcoming guidance documents. The session featured practical case studies from #EU_BUILDUP Ambassadors Slavica Robic, Brian Taammoli, and Ana Tisov, who shared insights into EPBD implementation in Croatia, Denmark, and Slovenia. A dynamic panel discussion followed, with industry experts Hélène Sibileau (BPIE - Buildings Performance Institute Europe ), Céline Carré (Saint-Gobain), and Jozefien Vanbecelaere (European Heat Pump Association - EHPA) highlighting innovative solutions already underway.
