For the first time in history all colleagues of the 23 NBSO offices worldwide gathered in the Netherlands for the NBSO Strategy Days 2024! It was a fully-packed week with a central focus on sharing new insights & ideas, exchange best practices, attending seminars of Regional Development Agencies and communication strategies. We also got more insights in our softwaresystems, how to create a perfect work-life balance, organisational structures and overall strategy. Part of this week were company visits to Visscher Caravelle B.V. and Dotslash Utrecht (our appreciation for your kind hospitality 🙏) and so much more. It was a week full of positive energy and wonderful collaboration! 🤝🚀 NBSO is the abbreviation for Netherlands Business Support Offices. We are part of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and have 23 offices all around the globe in regions that offer highly interesting business opportunities for Dutch companies. The NBSO offices are here to help Dutch entrepreneurs that want to do business abroad. Floods in the first half of this year and their aftermath affected more than 90% of the state. Approximately 600,000 people were displaced, 100,000 homes were destroyed, and 183 lives were lost. 🇳🇱 The technical visits and information exchange were developed with meetings, presentations and visits to laboratories at Delft University of Technology. The NBSO Porto Alegre also visited the real scale flood protection for temporary solutions site at the Flood Proof Holland. ⚗ 💊 Gezondheidszorg is een van de grootste sectoren in #India. Wist u dat #lifesciences & #health (#LSH) in de loop van de jaren is gegroeid tot één van de grootste industrieën in India? 🕌 Hierdoor zijn er veel kansen voor Nederlandse ondernemers die werken in deze topsector. 🚛 ✈ Het Nationaal Export Event (NEX) is al jaren hét exportevent van Nederland. NEX24 in De Fabrique in Utrecht stond gisteren in het teken van groei door kennis. De energietransitie, nieuwe wet- en regelgeving, geopolitieke en technologische ontwikkelingen hebben grote impact op bedrijven. Ook werd gisteren uitgebreid toegelicht welke gevolgen de uitslag van de Amerikaanse verkiezingen hebben op de Nederlandse export. As a populous province, Shandong Province has entered a stage of deep aging society in recent years. The results of the seventh census showed that the population of Shandong Province aged 60 and above reached 21.221 million, accounting for 20.9% of the total population in the province, and 2.2 percentage points higher than the national level. It is now the province with the largest elderly population in the country. The aging of the population presents the characteristics of large base, fast growth and high degree, accompanied by aging, disability and empty nest. For this reason, governments at all levels in Shandong Province attach great importance to the work of elderly care services. In cooperation with our local partners, and supported by the Dutch Embassy, NBSO Qingdao will organize a Dutch Health Care & Elderly Care Mission to visit Qingdao, Shandong province, from Nov12/Tue to Nov13/Wed.
