For our November edition of Takeoff Tuesday, we had the pleasure of having Espen Skorstad, CEO of Fairsight as our guest speaker. Today, we had the pleasure of attending Næringslivsdagen 2024, the annual meeting place for regional businesses, hosted by Bærum Næringsråd. A highlight for us was seeing our Manager of Strategic Partnerships, Thea Wiig, on the jury for Årets Gründer 2024, alongside Bærum Næringsråd, Energy Valley, Kvinner i Business, and Budstikka. Big congratulations to Aize, the 2024 winner! Last year, Hystar was recognized, and it’s great to see such strong momentum continuing. 🤩 Fornebu is steadily becoming an important hub for tech innovation within Bærum kommune, located just outside Oslo city center. With a growing number of industrial software companies and startups calling it home, it's evolving into a key player in shaping the future of technology and entrepreneurship in the region. Since 2021, RunwayFBU has made 20 investments in industrial software companies while working to develop a technology hub that has already created 350 jobs within the tech community. Being based here offers not just an inspiring innovation atmosphere but also proximity to key industry players like Cognite, making collaboration and growth a natural part of the journey. Simple Idea, Great Outcomes: RunwayFBU’s First Founder Gathering Earlier this week, we hosted a 24-hour strategy session at Støtvig, located about a 1-hour drive south of Oslo. We brought together 12 founders from our portfolio companies—representing both local and international teams. The goal? To break away from the usual setting, connect in a fresh environment, and spark ideas for mutual growth.
