🚀 NZ Fintech Report Launch: Insights and Opportunities for Growth 🚀 Last Thursday, we had the pleasure of attending the launch of the 2024 TIN NZ Fintech Report https://lnkd.in/gRn3Wadd. The event was a showcase of the rapid growth and the underserved potential of New Zealand's fintech sector. A big shoutout to Josh Daniell, Jo Phillips, McGregor Fea, Tim Wixon, CFA and Shane Marsh for their insightful discussions on the current trends and future outlook for the industry. The panel highlighted the transformative power of fintech and the opportunity to shape the future of finance in NZ. Key findings from the TIN NZ Fintech Report that emphasise the opportunity: 🚀 Exponential Growth: The fintech sector is NZ’s fastest-growing tech vertical, with a 26.5% increase in revenue, reaching $2.64B in 2023. 🌏 Global Reach: 84% of fintech revenue is generated offshore, showcasing the global competitiveness of NZ fintechs. 💸 Lack of Dedicated Funds: The report underscores the gap in dedicated capital and specialised knowledge within NZ to support the fintech companies of the future. These insights highlight the critical need for a fund like NZFF, which is uniquely positioned to provide the capital, connections, and expertise required to nurture early-stage fintech startups in NZ.
