We are thrilled to announce the practical completion of Stage 1 of our 78 Springs Road Development. This milestone marks the delivery of a state-of-the-art, custom-built 25,500 sqm warehouse for our long-term tenant, Fisher & Paykel Appliances. Practical Completion was achieved on 31 October 2024, an impressive 12 weeks ahead of schedule, with Fisher & Paykel Appliances moving into their new distribution centre the very next day. The development is being carried out in three stages, with Stage 2 set to commence in January 2025. Approximately 6,500 sqm of Stage 2 is already pre-leased to MiTek, and we are currently accepting expressions of interest for the remainder of Stage 2 and Stage 3. The entire development, spanning a high-profile 10.4-hectare corner site with extensive road frontages to Springs Road and Kerwyn Avenue, is targeting a 5 Green Star design and as-built rating. A huge thank you to all the key suppliers involved in stage 1 of this project. Your dedication and hard work have been instrumental in achieving our success so far. About us
We first listed in 1994. Far-reaching economic reforms had put New Zealand back on track and we were confident that demand for industrial property would grow. Nearly thirty years on, we have over 5,000 shareholders and a portfolio of 96 properties valued at over $2 billion dollars. As a professional landlord to the industrial sector, with a track record extending over many years, PFI looks to generate strong, stable returns for our investors by focusing on this growing sector. Our participation in the industrial economy in turn generates prosperity for New Zealand. Our expertise is key. Because we specialise in industrial property, we know the market, we are known in the market, and we understand industrial tenants’ needs. As a result, our portfolio is fit and healthy and able to perform at its peak. At PFI we have worked hard to create a workplace environment that is open, comfortable, and inclusive. We are also committed to the environment outside our office and are constantly working on ways to reduce our carbon footprint.

Last week, PFI hosted a development site tour for some of our analysts and institutional investors. The visit included a tour of our Bowden and Springs projects, where three significant buildings have or will soon reach completion. Ewan Cameron, Craig Peirce, and Simon Woodhams shared valuable insights and updates, highlighting the significant advancements we have made. It was fantastic to see the enthusiasm and interest from our visitors as they witnessed the tangible progress on-site. These tours are a valuable opportunity to engage directly with some of our stakeholders and showcase these major developments. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making this event a success. Over the last fortnight, our team had the privilege of participating in two volunteer days with Fair Food NZ, an organisation dedicated to reducing food waste and fighting food insecurity in our community. During our time there, we assisted their team to sort and package surplus food donated by local supermarkets, ensuring it reaches those who need it most. It was a rewarding experience that highlighted the importance of collaboration and giving back. Fair Food is doing incredible work by rescuing food that would otherwise go to waste and redistributing it to local charities and families. Their mission not only helps reduce waste but also promotes a more sustainable food system for all. We're proud to support their efforts and encourage others to get involved. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in our community! If you or your team is interested in assisting with this charity, check out the details on their website: https://lnkd.in/dxE8jkdZ #FairFood #Community #Sustainability

Last week PFI’s CFO/COO Craig Peirce sat on a panel alongside other leaders from some of New Zealand’s climate reporting entities to share insights following the first year of mandatory climate-related disclosures. “It was great to be part of the discussion on climate-related disclosures at Chapman Tripp’s event last week. Engaging with industry leaders on the insights and emerging themes from year one was invaluable. We're looking forward to what’s ahead as we adapt to the evolving landscape.” – Craig Peirce To read our FP24 Sustainability Update and Climate-Related Disclosures report, head to the sustainability page on our website: https://lnkd.in/gyrcDkUN #ClimaterelatedDisclosure #sustainability
We were delighted to host a session in Auckland last week where leaders from some of New Zealand’s climate reporting entities shared governance, executive and practitioner insights following the first year of mandatory climate-related disclosures. Our analysis of disclosed emissions targets and transition plans is linked below. Now that the majority of year 1 CRDs are published, the session provided a scan across the market on key themes and learnings emerging from the disclosures, as well as a look ahead to what we can expect from year 2 - including possible changes to director liability, the XRB’s announcement (linked below) this week of potential changes to transition provisions, and new CRD requirements coming in across the globe, include the Australian regime, effective from 1 January 2025. Thanks to our esteemed panellists Anne Urlwin, Craig Peirce and Ella Tunnicliffe-Glass for their practical advice and insights. If you’d like to discuss, please get in touch with one of our experts Nicola Swan, Alana Lampitt or Kate Wilson Butler. https://lnkd.in/gvAZ68UH https://lnkd.in/g8iZwMUe

PFI is pleased to have released our FP24 Sustainability Update and Climate-Related Disclosures report. We are excited to share the progress that we have made in delivering toward the first stage of our Sustainability Strategy in our FP24 Sustainability Update. This includes: - Being awarded a 5 Star Green Star Design & As Built NZv1.0 Design rating for our first building at Stage 1 at Bowden Road, leased to Tokyo Food; - Progressing construction on two further buildings at Stage 2 at Bowden Road and Stage 1 at Springs Road, targeting 5 Green Star certification; - Achieving our target of installing solar panels at five buildings by the end of 2025 ahead of time, helping our tenants to move to renewable energy; and - Achieving our target of installing power metering and monitoring at 50% of our properties by the end of 2025, with 63% of properties in our portfolio now with metering installed. This will help us and our tenants to better understand and manage the energy use of the buildings at those sites. The report also includes PFI’s second mandatory Climate-Related Disclosures report, which shares the progress PFI continues to make in improving our understanding of, and response to, our climate-related risks and opportunities.
