Helouxuan, a photogenic building in Songjiang, Shanghai!

Taking advantage of the good weather on the weekend, I went to Helouxuan in Fangta Park, Songjiang District, Shanghai. Designed by the master architect Feng Jizhong, it has recently won two UNESCO awards and is well worth a visit. The name Helouxuan comes from the poem "Inscription on a Humble Room" by the Tang Dynasty poet Liu Yuxi. After its completion, it became a place for Songjiang people to drink tea and relax. Today, it is one of the most popular tea houses in the area and has become a local art form. People are interested in Helouxuan because of its simple building materials, which now give it a rustic and minimalist style. The structure is made of bamboo, with a thatched roof. The interior bamboo structure is layered, and the surrounding bamboo forest is like an ancient poem. The building stands between us and the world, symbolizing infinite tranquility. Helouxuan is a continuation of the local culture, integrating ancient architecture into the lives of the locals. Time passes, and when I am there, I feel the change of light and shadow, a feeling that cannot be put into words.
