Sobre nós
Cancer-healthcare, research and innovation face core common challenges, such as fragmentation of initiatives and distancing from important stakeholders, requiring coordinated solutions. These challenges are recognized in Horizon Europe’s Cancer Mission Implementation Plan and in Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan. The proposal Establishing of Cancer Mission Hubs: Networks and Synergies (ECHoS) represents a unique opportunity to coordinate R&I and Healthcare actions on cancer with policy-making processes creating transnational communication & collaboration networks aligned with Cancer Mission objectives.

Today, WHO/Europe launches the Alcohol Policy Playbook, designed to help policymakers navigate the ever-present debates around alcohol harms and alcohol policy. The Playbook counters the industry’s narrative by presenting scientific evidence showing: 🍷🚫 that no level of alcohol consumption is safe for health and cancer risk 👪 that alcohol inflicts widespread harm across all segments of the population 📉 that countries lose more than they gain from alcohol sales 💪 and that public policies are effective in protecting health and safety.
