🌊 CALLMEBLUE IN TUNISIA – A SUCCESSFUL THIRD TRANSNATIONAL MEETING! 🇹🇳 📅 February 20-21, 2025 – The 3rd Transnational Project Meeting of CallmeBLUE successfully took place in Gammarth (Tunisia), bringing together key partners from the Mediterranean Blue Economy with presence of the Project Officer (PO) Anja Detant from CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency. This meeting served as a pivotal milestone for project partners, providing a platform to showcase the progress achieved this far and outline the next strategic steps. Key highlights included: ✅ Maritime Cluster Blue Economy Reporting: Presentation of the Maritime Cluster Blue Economy reporting findings, including a comprehensive needs assessment and stakeholder mapping. ✅ Matchmaking Local Workshops: Successful engagement of key stakeholders in Tunisia, Algeria, and Mauritania to explore blue economy opportunities and the role of maritime clusters in fostering sustainable growth. ✅ Feasibility Study on Emerging Clusters: Ongoing assessment in Morocco and Egypt to evaluate the economic and social impact of developing maritime clusters. ✅ Capacity-Building Initiatives: Launch of Learning Labs and Advanced Learning Labs on Business Activities, equipping future maritime cluster actors with critical skills and knowledge. ✅ Regional Cooperation & Policy Dialogue: Advancing stakeholder mobilization for enhanced south-south collaboration, alongside discussions on regulatory frameworks and funding mechanisms. ✅ Business Forum: A dedicated platform to drive collaboration and facilitate north-south matchmaking opportunities within the maritime sector. ✅ Regional Alliance Development: Structuring a long-term cooperation framework through the Hub Azul initiative, reinforcing connections among North African and Mediterranean stakeholders. Additionally, the meeting underscored the significance of alliances and collaborative efforts, leveraging strategic frameworks such as #WestMed and the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) to drive impactful, sustainable change in the region. 𝗖𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗔 𝗗𝗘 𝗢𝗟𝗘𝗜𝗥𝗢𝗦 𝗔 𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗖𝗔𝗢 𝗡𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗔 𝗡𝗢 𝗕𝗢𝗠 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗛𝗢 No seguimento da candidatura de #Oleiros a Estação Náutica, a Comissão de Avaliação da Rede das Estações Náuticas de Portugal, constituída por representantes do Fórum Oceano, da Direção Geral de Educação, da DGPM - Direção-Geral de Política do Mar e da Associação Bandeira Azul de Ambiente e Educação (ABBAE), visitou esta semana o Município de Oleiros para ultimar o processo de certificação em curso. A visita, que decorreu na terça-feira, dia 18, teve início em Álvaro com uma reunião técnica para debater os principais eixos estratégicos da candidatura, em que esteve também presente o Presidente da Câmara Municipal de Oleiros, @Miguel Marques, Vice-presidente, Paulo Urbano e Vereador, Filipe Bártolo. O Município de Oleiros preparou um vasto programa através do qual procurou destacar a oferta turística náutica de qualidade existente. Para o Vice-Presidente, Paulo Urbano, esta candidatura segue a estratégia “da Câmara Municipal de Oleiros em promover e dinamizar este território”. O Município tem a ambição de se tornar Estação Náutica, promovendo este destino para o turismo náutico, desportivo, de lazer, comprometendo-se ainda a desenvolver a temática dos recursos hídricos no ensino escolar. “Estamos na apreciação final da candidatura de Oleiros e esta visita é um muito bom sinal de que esta Estação Náutica é para acontecer”, referiu no final do dia Gisela Sousa, do Fórum Oceano, a entidade gestora do Cluster do Mar Português. Miguel Marques, Presidente da Câmara Municipal de Oleiros, acredita na boa notícia em breve para Oleiros. “Espero que este processo possa culminar com a certificação da Estação Náutica de Oleiros e que esta seja uma mais-valia para as pessoas e empresários do Concelho de Oleiros”.
