Denna veckan har vi varit på konferens i London för att lära oss mer om hur andra aktörer arbetar med patientsamverkan. Här är 10 lärdomar som vi tar med oss hem: ·  Vi behöver träffas för att få en ökad förståelse för varandra. Det mänskliga mötet är oerhört viktigt. · Kommunikation och aktivt lyssnande skapar tillit och goda relationer. · En palett av olika metoder behövs i arbetet med patientsamverkan. Det finns inte en metod som passar alla. · Patientsamverkan bör vara en del av verksamhetens strategiska arbete. · Vi bör ha fokus på hur patienter mår, inte bara på fysiska symtom utan också på känslomässiga och psykologiska faktorer. Behandla personen, inte sjukdomen. · Utveckla nya läkemedel tillsammans med patienter, inte bara "för" patienter. · Lyssna på patienter för att få kunskap om vad de behöver för att kunna delta i medicinsk forskning och kliniska prövningar. · Att mäta och visa på effekten av patientsamverkan har varit avgörande för att få med sig hela verksamheten. · Kombinationen av hälsodata och berättelser från verkliga livet = ger engagerade patienter   · Det kostar ingenting att validera och bekräfta personen framför dig, men det ger så mycket! Life-time.se interviewed several key individuals who highlighted Sweden's favorable conditions, with biobanks playing a crucial role in both research and future investments. Det leder till snabbare rekrytering till studier, bättre produkter och större chans att nya behandlingar lyckas, säger sjukvårdsminister Acko Ankarberg Johansson. 🎗️🌎 #ICCD2025 BBMRI-ERIC #biobank case study Nr. 1: 🎗️🇸🇪 The Swedish Childhood Tumor Biobank 🎗️🇸🇪 In Sweden, approx. 350 children are diagnosed with cancer every year. Today more than 85% of the patients will survive, but cancer is still one of the major medical causes of childhood death. Also, survivors can suffer from chronic health problems throughout their lives. We therefore need deeper, more detailed biological knowledge of cancer development in children to increase survival and improve their #QualityOfLife. 🎗️🇸🇪 The Swedish Childhood Tumor Biobank (Barntumörbanken, BTB) collects tissue samples and genomic data from paediatric patients diagnosed with central nervous system (CNS) and other solid tumours. Essential for the responsible use of these samples for research is that donors give their informed consent and that the samples are stored safely for years to come. 🎗️🇸🇪 Regarding regulatory, logistic and organisational issues, the BTB is also supported by the Biobank Sweden and their local regional biobank Stockholm Medical Biobank. The work at the BTB is financially supported by the Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund. 🎗️🇸🇪 In the BTB, more than 2,400 cases are registered with approximately 60,000 samples. Thousands of these cases have been characterised via whole-genome sequencing (WGS) or whole-transcriptome sequencing (WTS). The BTB makes these samples and associated data available to the scientific community as invaluable and precious resources for cancer research. With these samples, researchers can increase our knowledge of the biology, diagnosis, and treatment of childhood cancers. 🎗️🇸🇪 To date, the samples and data at the BTB have supported more than 20 different research projects and BTB is assisting several clinical studies with sample logistics, regulatory support and data analysis/interpretation.
