🌏 WE LOVE OUR PLANET – A CELEBRATION OF NATURE, BIODIVERSITY & COMMUNITY ACTION 🌿 We're thrilled to announce the launch of "We Love Our Planet," the latest exhibition at the CDL Green Gallery, Singapore’s first net-zero gallery located in the iconic Singapore Botanic Gardens. Running from 10 Dec 2024 to 1 June 2025, this community-driven exhibition champions the importance of nature and biodiversity in building a sustainable future. In partnership with NParks, Jane Goodall Institute (Singapore), and Ocean Geographic, the exhibition highlights key *UN SDGs—14 (Life Below Water), 15 (Life on Land), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals)—emphasising ecosystem restoration and conservation in line with the Singapore Green Plan 2030. Featuring contributions from 24 diverse partners, including government agencies, NGOs, youth, and women’s groups, the exhibition also showcases a stunning biodiversity film by National Geographic award-winning photographer, Jayaprakash Bojan. CDL has always believed that women can drive positive change through partnerships. CDL’s Women4Green Network is thrilled to be supporting HER Planet Earth’s film screening: “Gobi Rising – Women Leading Climate Action”, on 27 November, 2024, 6.00-8.00pm at the Singapore Sustainability Academy. HER Planet Earth is a Singapore-registered non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering women and communities at the frontlines of climate change through education, environmental conservation, and advocacy. They recently travelled to Mongolia in March 2024 with award-winning filmmaker Jacqui Hocking to support The Nature Conservancy’s work with local woman herders. Join us for the premiere of "Gobi Rising," a short documentary that highlights the incredible journey of 16 women in the Gobi Desert as they champion sustainable herding practices and lead climate action in their communities. This will be followed by a panel discussion which will explore the themes of the film, the importance of female leadership in climate action, and the broader implications for sustainable development. Yesterday marked a significant milestone for City Developments Limited with the Singapore Sustainability Academy (SSA) Annex officially opening its doors. More than 200 of CDL’s 3P partners and friends turned up to celebrate this special occasion.   Building upon the success of the original SSA launched in 2017, this expansion reinforces CDL’s commitment to tackling climate change through advancing collaborative efforts. The SSA Annex aims to: • Promote sustainable practices • Advocate for a low-carbon economy • Engage businesses and the community   The window of opportunity to fight climate change and achieve net zero is closing. There is no time better than now to act.
