✨ Seasons greetings from the team at UN Global Compact Network Singapore! As we close the year, we reflect on our shared progress and challenges while looking ahead to 2025 with renewed determination. This year, we convened over 1,000 leaders and changemakers across industries and sectors through our initiatives and events, addressing urgent topics where businesses can drive the most transformative impact. We also empowered 3,400 individuals and 640 enterprises in advancing their sustainability journeys till date. 🌱 Yet, with only 15% of the SDGs on track, radical collaboration and decisive action are more critical than ever. The private sector holds the power to shape transformative change, and together, we must rise to the challenge. 2025 will be a milestone year—it marks Singapore’s 60th National Day, the United Nations Global Compact’s 25th Anniversary, and our very own 20th Anniversary—a moment to celebrate progress and deepen our commitment to building a sustainable future. 🌟 Thank you to our members and partners for walking this journey with us. Together, we can drive meaningful change, demonstrating that business can be a powerful force for good, creating tangible impacts that contribute to a sustainable and inclusive future. 🌏 We wish you a joyful holiday season and look forward to seeing you in 2025!

Small- and medium-sized enterprises (#SMEs) are essential drivers of job creation, poverty reduction, and sustainable economic growth. Representing 90% of businesses, accounting for 50% of global employment, and generating nearly 40% of GDP in emerging economies, SMEs are at the heart of thriving economies. However, we recognize that SMEs often face unique challenges on their sustainability journey, such as limited access to financing, vulnerabilities to inflation, and navigating complex regulatory environments. That’s why we created the #SPARK Community. This innovative program combines on-demand learning, live sessions, impactful networking, and tailored regional experiences to help #SMEs gain practical knowledge and forge lasting connections that can accelerate their sustainability journey. We are proud to have leading organizations such as Resorts World Sentosa, Keppel Ltd., Olam, and Lazada as pioneering participants in the program. So far, we have successfully hosted three live sessions focusing on key topics including #SustainableFinance, Measuring #GHG & #CarbonAccounting, and #SustainabilityReporting with a focus on #COP. A big thank you to Wasistho Soerono- #UOB, Benjamin Tan - #ESGpedia, and Chia Boon Chong- #Singtel for your invaluable participation, sharing expert insights and advice with our SME participants. #SPARKCommunity #SMEs #Sustainability #SustainableGrowth #ESG #SDGs #Networking #BusinessForGood #COP #SustainableFinance Puja Verma Mohammad Sheen
