Realising a world made better by future-ready young people, who step up and catalyse change in their communities

About us

Halogen aims to make quality leadership and entrepreneurship education and mentorship programmes available and accessible to all youth, regardless of background, race, income, or religion - with particular focus those who are disadvantaged, come from challenging family backgrounds, and/or are in need of financial assistance. Defining leadership and entrepreneurship as influence, Halogen Foundation believes that every young person has innate potential to influence and lead, becoming positive change-agents. By developing an entrepreneurial mindset, youths can be further equipped to contribute positively to society. Our vision is realising a world made better by future-ready young people, who step up and catalyse change in their communities. Recipient of the Charity Transparency Award 2024.

  • As part of the leadership workshops organised by Kreta Ayer-Kim Seng Grassroots Organisations, and supported by Credit Bureau (Singapore), Halogen is honoured to have been chosen as the training partner to conduct our in-house HEROES workshop. We would like to thank Mrs. Josephine Teo, Minister for Digital Development and Information, and Adviser to Jalan Besar GRC GROs (Kreta Ayer-Kim Seng), for coming down and engaging with the students. Adapted from The Leadership Challenge and its Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership, HEROES is a leadership workshop that uses applied drama pedagogy and simplified language so youths can learn to be leaders and start influencing the people around them positively from a young age. 👉 Want to learn more about instilling leadership qualities in youths? I had the amazing opportunity to participate in LinkedIn Coaches on the Move– a casual yet impactful event where I joined Monica Bhatia (Kapur) for a walk around Marina Bay Sands. During our stroll, we engaged in insightful conversations about: - Professional growth and continuous learning, - How to use LinkedIn as a platform for networking and building meaningful connections - Balancing priorities between work and life, and how setting firm boundaries is key to continuous growth. I’m grateful for the opportunity to connect with fellow students and to learn from such an experienced coach. Thank you to Halogen for inviting me to participate in this event through the National Mentoring Summit hosted by Mentoring SG! Looking forward to more inspiring events like this! 🚀🔥 #LinkedInCoachesOnTheMove #CareerGrowth #ProfessionalDevelopment #Coaching #CareerTips

Nothing energizes you like a Halogen NFTE Grand Finale ! Turn on the sound and hear the sheer excitement as they announced the winner of this year long journey teaching kids about entrepreneurship. This event blows my mind every single time. NFTE (stands for Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship) is a program run by Halogen in Singapore schools. Youths are asked to come up with a business idea and build a business plan over the course of the year with the help of their teachers and volunteers. Seeing 15 year olds take the stage to present in front of a large crow is always impressive. The most moving part for me was that their business ideas were deeply rooted in compassion and the desire to help others. One student wanted to help his friend who suffers from epilepsy while another was inspired to help the blind because his father has been losing sight. Congrats to all the students ! And kudos to Halogen and the schools, you really bring the best out of them. #nftesg #halogensg

What were you thinking about when you were 17 years old? For many of us, it might have been about exams, friends, or simply figuring out what came next. But today’s generation? They’re on a whole different level. Today, I had the privilege of mentoring polytechnic students, and I was truly blown away by their thoughtfulness and intentionality about their futures. They’re not just planning careers—they’re dreaming big: starting businesses, diving into online commerce, asking insightful questions about leadership, building trust, and much more. It’s incredibly inspiring to witness this level of curiosity, ambition, and focus so early in their journey. A huge shoutout to LinkedIn Social Impact, Halogen, and Sandhya Dovedy for creating spaces like these to empower and inspire young minds. It got me thinking—what is your company doing to engage with and shape the next generation of leaders? I’d love to hear your thoughts! If you’d like to learn more about initiatives like these or explore how LinkedIn can help amplify your impact, let’s connect and have a conversation. A big thank you to my fellow mentors for making this experience even more impactful: Nuanza Cinta A.Monica Bhatia (Kapur)Trisha S.Fiona Hsu Clement H. Wani A Ghafar abdul Ee Jin W.
