1 killed, 3 injured in head-on collision between car & pickup truck

Dehradun: A 34-year-old man was killed and three others were injured after the car they were travelling in collided head-on with a pickup truck on the Delhi-Yamunotri National Highway near Banshipur on Wednesday night.
The car driver, Yogesh Kumar, lost his life while three occupants of the pickup truck, including its driver, sustained serious injuries. Police officials said that the pickup was traveling from UP's Saharanpur district to Vikasnagar, while the car was heading from Vikasnagar to Herbertpur. Preliminary investigations revealed that the speeding car veered into the opposite lane and collided with the truck.
Yogesh, a resident of Dharmanwala in the Sahaspur area of Dehradun, was declared dead at the hospital. After completing inquest proceedings, his body was sent to the mortuary.
The injured individuals include the pickup driver, Bittu, and passengers Aditya and Vansh (only first names available), all residents of Behat town in Saharanpur. They are currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
