CBSE issues important notice for schools on mandatory document uploading and teacher details

CBSE has directed affiliated schools to create functional websites and upload teacher qualifications and other mandatory information for public disclosure. Despite repeated instructions, many schools lack functional websites or have inactive links, partially uploaded documents, or poorly displayed icons on their homepages. Schools must comply within 30 days of the notice's issuance.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notice to its affiliated schools, directing them to develop a functional website and upload details of teachers, including their qualifications, along with other prescribed information and documents as part of mandatory public disclosure.
According to the notice, despite repeated instructions, many affiliated schools still do not have a functional website. Some schools, although having websites, have either not uploaded or only partially uploaded the required information and documents. In certain cases, schools have uploaded the information/documents, but the links are inactive. Additionally, some schools have uploaded the prescribed information/documents, but the icons or links to these are not prominently displayed on the homepage.
The official notice reads, ‘The board has issued directions to all affiliated schools to develop their own individual website and shall upload details of teachers with qualifications as well as prescribed information and documents as part of Mandatory Public Disclosure.’
Further, the notice also states, ‘In spite of the repeated directions by the board, it has been observed that many affiliated schools still do not have a functional website. Besides, some schools have a school website but have either not uploaded or partially uploaded the desired information and documents, under Mandatory Public Disclosure.’

The board, in its notice, stated that it is providing a final opportunity to all affiliated schools that have not yet complied with the instructions to do so within 30 days of the issuance of this circular.
