The singer Anu Malik has reacted to this by saying that he feels honored people should understand that the song was crooned by Abhijeet and made by him.

Talking to News18, Anu Malik said that he loves to view the whole Dua Lipa scenario in a positive light and called the American singer a ‘Very talented one’. Keeping the praises aside, Anu Malik also mentioned that the credit of the original song matters and people shouldn't be hidden from the fact that ‘Woh Ladki’ from the Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Baadshah’ is an Anu Malik song which was sung by the talented Abhijeet Bhattacharya.

Anu Malik further said, “It’s a good feeling that Dua Lipa took the song to the stage, and we’re getting the feeling that we, as musicians, are being respected all over the world.” He also said that it feels great to have his song influencing a top singer. Anu Malik also said that several people including his daughter shared the Dua Lipa clip which made him very proud and he has nothing against Dua Lipa using his song on the world stage.

Keeping all the praises aside, Anu Malik also said that they requested Dua Lipa and her team to give them the rightful credit for the song. Anu Malik also mentioned that he doesn’t want to create any controversies based on this matter but he wants to know the source of the collaboration song. Anu Malik also said that he wants to know whether the person got the rights to use the song from the company and has also mentioned his and Abhijeet’s name in it.
Meanwhile, Anu Malik is irked when people say that the song is an unlikely and unusual collaboration, whereas he wants them to be proud that he is a very hardworking composer from India. He also expressed his joy in his melody being played and loved by the whole world.
