Watch: Matt Henry does a Suryakumar Yadav in New Zealand vs Sri Lanka ODI

Matt Henry's stunning boundary catch was a highlight in the third ODI in Auckland, reminiscent of Suryakumar Yadav's iconic T20 World Cup effort. Despite Sri Lanka's strong batting with a final score of 290 for 8, Henry's four-wicket haul (4 for 55) and his exceptional fielding were pivotal for New Zealand, who already clinched the series.

New Zealand pacer Matt Henry's catch at the edge of the boundary was one of the highlights during Sri Lanka's innings as the two teams met in the third ODI of their series in Auckland on Saturday.
With Sri Lanka in command at 160 for 2 in the 30th over after opting to bat first, skipper Charith Asalanka was dismissed for a duck when he tried to hit off-spinner Michael Bracewell out of the park but found Henry, who took a ripper of a catch that reminded of Suryakumar Yadav's match-winning effort in the T20 World Cup final between India and South Africa last year.

Running to his right from long-off, Henry caught the ball but the momentum took him over the boundary ropes. However, before his foot landed outside the playing area, he lobbed the ball in the air and caught it again after hopping back into the field of play.

India's Suryakumar took a similar catch, but under much more pressure, in the T20 World Cup final, which proved to be the difference in the end, while at one stage the Proteas seemed to be running away with the title.
Meanwhile at Auckland on Friday, Sri Lanka posted a challenging 290 for 8 on the board in the inconsequential game, as New Zealand have already pocketed the three-match series by winning the first two ODIs.
Pathum Nissanka (66), Kusal Mendis (54), Janith Liyanage (53) and Kamindu Mendis (46) were the main contributors to Sri Lanka's total.
For New Zealand paceman Henry starred with the ball, taking four wickets (4 for 55).
