🌟Introducing a new Town Centre Champion: It was great to meet Charlotte Martin the General Manager of BG Solicitors based in the town centre. They have joined the 2025 Group as new members, taking on the role of Grimsby town centre champions. BG Solicitors is one of the oldest established practices in Grimsby, set up by the late Mr Tom Beetenson on 1st January 1944. He was joined in 1953 by Lawrence Gibbon and their initials still remain as the name of our firm. Since those early days, the Practice has grown steadily and is now one of the largest and most respected in the area. The 2025 Group town centre champions pledge to spread the word regarding all the great town centre regeneration projects that are happening right now and in the next few years. They also pledge to "be part of the positive" when it comes to our town centre. It is great to have the BG Solicitors team onboard. Exciting News for Grimsby Town Centre! We’re thrilled to share that the Freshney Place leisure scheme, including a brand-new cinema and food hall, has officially been given the go-ahead! This represents one of the largest investments in Grimsby’s town centre to date and is set to transform the heart of our town. The project will see the creation of a five-screen cinema brought to you by Parkway Cinema a modern food hall, and a complementary market space, alongside additional leisure, food, and retail opportunities. It’s all part of the ambitious regeneration journey bringing new life to Grimsby’s town centre and making it a place to be proud of. As Cllr Philip Jackson puts it: “Grimsby is on a hugely ambitious journey with significant investments transforming the centre into a place people will want to visit, live, and invest in.” This is a major step forward for Grimsby, following the success of developments like St James house, Riverhead Square, The NHS Diagnostic Centre and the upcoming Horizon Youth Zone. Construction is expected to begin early in the new year—watch this space for updates! The future of Grimsby town centre is bright. #bepartofthepositive

A Big Day for Grimsby Town Centre! This evening at 7pm, the full council meeting will decide the future of the Freshney Place leisure scheme, including plans for a brand-new cinema. Here at the 2025 Group, we’re keeping everything crossed for a positive outcome. As we’ve said many times before, our town centre needs more than just shops—it needs to offer reasons to visit, stay longer, and return. Parkway Cinema a trusted name locally, has expressed their confidence that a cinema in Grimsby town centre would thrive and attract audiences. But the scheme isn’t just about the cinema—it promises a variety of family-friendly activities, new entertainment options, and exciting food and dining experiences that will breathe fresh life into our town. Whatever the outcome tonight, we remain committed to being #PartOfThePositive. Together, we’ll continue to champion a brighter future for Grimsby’s Town Centre. 🌟 Welcome to the 2025 Group, DFDS! 🌟 Last Tuesday, I had the pleasure of meeting Francesca Hodge from DFDS I am proud to announce that they have signed up to become a 2025 Group Town Centre Champion. 🎉 As a key local employer, DFDS plays a vital role in efficiently moving goods from A to B by truck and sea. But their impact goes far beyond logistics—they’re also dedicated to supporting the community. DFDS Seaways Immingham has also taken a huge step in supporting the town’s young people by becoming a Founder Patron of Horizon Youth Zone.
