Many of their stories shared a common theme… 📈 They often accessed the UK ecosystem of support through incubators, accelerators, and other programmes. This network offers specialist mentorship, facilities, funding and more. Often for free. So… We spoke to these brilliant programmes. We spoke to those world-saving founders. ❌ What we found was a communication gap. The entrepreneurs were low on time and resources. They often struggled to find the support they needed across a complex web of websites and application forms. Imagine the lost potential in the long term of not scaling these solutions as quickly as possible. ✅ To help them, back in January we launched a first-of-its-kind map to showcase the brilliant ecosystem of accelerator and incubator schemes across the UK. 🟢 Now, we’re ready to announce version two. This new iteration of the map is: - Up to date - More accessible - Interactive - Ready to scale The map includes 40+ accelerators, incubators, and support programmes, among which are: Carbon13, Barclays Eagle Labs, Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, Conception X, Tech Nation, Cambridge Cleantech, Innovate UK, North East Battery Alliance, Net Zero Technology Centre, CPI, Northern Accelerator, Oxfordshire Greentech, Satellite Applications Catapult, and Energy Systems Catapult. At Adopter (✅ B Corp) we are working hard to help new green techs reach the customers, investors and employees that they need to scale. The solutions we need to tackle climate change and nature loss are already here. But they require a huge amount of support and energy to reach their full potential. We hope this map can help to make the connections needed to urgently scale the solutions needed. You can access it by following this link: https://lnkd.in/eg5M42tM 𝗪𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸! 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼: ➡️ Share your ideas and tag any #accelerators, #incubators we should add to the map! Let’s keep it a living resource. ➡️ Tag a startup that might benefit from this resource. 🚀 This is only the second version of the map, so all ideas, feedback and suggestions are very welcome! 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝗽? 🟢 Next on our list is an interactive map of the green tech investment ecosystem - scheduled for launch in Q1 2024. 🟢 Let us know in the comments if you know any green tech, climate tech and nature tech investors we should include! Stay tuned via Adopter (✅ B Corp)!

🤔 Imagine if plants could both purify the air and produce electricity… 🪴 Plants are commonly found in homes - they are aesthetically pleasing and help clean the air, a benefit we often overlook. 🦠 However, researchers from Binghamton University recently created artificial 'plants' from biological solar cells and photosynthetic cyanobacteria. This combination of materials means that these 'plants' can: 📉 Attain a 90% reduction in indoor CO2 levels— compared to a 10% reduction achieved by living plants. ⚡ Produce electricity - currently, they generate 140 microwatts, but Professor Seokheun Choi, one of the study's authors, plans to increase it to 1 milliwatt. 🔋 The researchers also want to add an energy storage unit to the system, with a vision of using the power to charge a phone. 🎉 Client update: Congratulations to NatureFinance for launching NatureAlign, a new toolkit to kickstart financial institutions’ journey towards nature-positive investments! ❗ According to UN Environment Programme, around 7% of global GDP is invested annually in activities that negatively impact nature. 🌲 Aware of this staggering statistic and the fact that biodiversity is declining faster than at any other time in human history, NatureFinance collaborated with Neural Alpha , Crowther Lab | ETH Zurich, Yale Center for Environmental Law & Policy, and ENCORE Partners, including UNEP-WCMC to create NatureAlign. 🆕 NatureAlign’s first module is a web app that will help financial institutions assess the interfaces of their investments and loans with nature and their nature-related dependencies and impacts. 🌿 The tool enhances financial institutions’ capability to track their impact on nature to align their portfolios with the activities and sectors that protect and restore the natural world. 🌍 NatureAlign will enable financial institutions’ leadership to align global investment with an economy that works for nature, climate and people. 🌱 Our team assisted with the launch of NatureAlign by developing the anouncement web pages and social media content. ✳️ It is incredible to be supporting NatureFinance as they continue to scale nature-positive solutions. ⏩ Click here to find out more about NatureAlign: https://lnkd.in/eK6HT-3M #GreenTech #ClimateTech #ClimateChange #Sustainability
