Scottish Branch: Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE-UK Scotland) reposted this
It was an incredible evening spent in great company at the #OEUKAwards24. One of the highlights for me was the passionate and thought-provoking speech by David Whitehouse which left me reflecting on the future of an industry that has contributed so much—and continues to contribute—to the UK economy. I was particularly proud of the nomination of Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE-UK) as a finalist for the Neighbour of the Year award. While we didn’t win this time, being acknowledged in this category is a huge honour and a testament to the impactful work AFBE-UK is doing. At AFBE-UK, our contributions extend beyond fostering community development. We are actively changing narratives and positively influencing the next generation in this industry, and I’m deeply honoured to serve as an ambassador for this inspiring organisation. Congratulations to all the winners at #OEUKAwards24! And a heartfelt congratulations to Ollie Folayan MBE and the entire Scottish Branch: Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE-UK Scotland) team, Ebere OMartins. Olaitan Akinyele, Rakhi Gupta, Mayolein MacDonald, Dr Urenna Vivian Adegbotolu, Wilson Moahyi, Ikechukwu Onyegiri, Mo O., for your dedication and unwavering commitment to making a difference.
