Independent Hotel Show London Recap!🎉 Izzy and Dave were in London this week and had the pleasure of attending the #IHS2024 for the second time. Izabela Yovanova Dave Sheppard Here are the highlights for them: 🎤 Some amazing talks and thought-provoking discussions (from F&B trends, through to digital promotions and improving the guest experience in the hospitality sector) ☕️ Way too many cups of coffee were had 🤩 80% of guests at hotels expect to be WOW-ed when travelling 🎯 Getting away from OTAs and improving direct bookings is something independent hotels are pushing for now more than ever (luckily that is exactly what we offer at Big Bear) ✨ When you think of promotion don't always think discounts, think packages (great insights from Josh Abbott and Emanuela Da Ros about their approach in hotel promotions) ⛳️ Golf courses as part of hotels saw the biggest profitability in the past year 🥂 Too many drinks at the Boutique Hotelier Awards does in fact give you a headache the next day (not a first hand experience but collated information from reliable external sources) ❤️ Great conversations were had and connections with our fellow hotel marketers and hoteliers were made Also did you know that Kate Nicholls OBE saved the prawn cocktail crisps?
