Imagine our excitement when we were invited to create an interactive demo to bring artificial intelligence to life for children. We worked with the team at Cambridge Science Centre to help in their mission to break down the barriers to accessing STEM. The best way to learn is to have fun! So we set about creating an experience that would inspire children aged 8 to 12 with the thrill of artificial intelligence – and also to teach them about how it all works. After all, the curious young minds of today will be the deep tech innovators of tomorrow. 🌟 We’re excited to share that our STEM Club at Meldreth Primary School is officially underway, thanks to an amazing partnership with Bruntwood SciTech! 🎉 This club gives students a unique opportunity to dive into the world of STEM, introducing them to the innovative work happening right on their doorsteps, at Melbourn Science Park. With hands-on support from the Cambridge Science Centre team, the students worked in teams to design their very own science parks. The creativity and forward-thinking ideas they came up with for facilities and activities were simply brilliant! 🤩 It’s inspiring to see young minds think about how research environments can shape the future 🌍🔬 A big thank you to Bruntwood SciTech and everyone who played a role in planning and delivering this project. We’re thrilled to be part of something that connects local schools with cutting-edge science and gives students a chance to imagine a future where they, too, are shaping ground-breaking research 🚀 Can’t wait for the next session! 💡 #STEMClub #InspiringTheNextGeneration #MelbournSciencePark #CambridgeScienceCentre #STEM Matt Humphries
Bruntwood SciTech and our partners, The Cambridge Science Centre, launched our STEM Club at Meldreth Primary School this week, aiming to inspire the next generation in STEM. This initiative allows us to engage with local schools, and provides an easy platform for Melbourn Science Park customers to participate in school outreach, introducing students to the companies, and highlighting their research and achievements to a younger audience. Each session is hosted by a Melbourn Science Park customer with the support of the CSC, and we started this week with an introduction to Bruntwood SciTech and our Science Park! We explored what a science park is, looked at what our customers need to create the best environment for their research, and discussed what we can do to support customer wellbeing and collaboration. The students worked in teams to design their own science parks and came up with some fantastic ideas for facilities and community activities! 💡 So glad to see this project is finally up and running and thanks to all who contributed with the planning and delivery. Looking forward to the next session! #cambridgesciencecentre #STEM #Melbournsciencepark
