At Caravan we aim to achieve one basic objective: That our guests are happier when they leave Caravan than when they arrive. Our company culture and employee happiness is key to our development and success. All aspects of what we do are hugely important; the food and drinks, the cool warm atmosphere, roasting the perfect coffee and delivering it all with casual excellence. Our food concept is “well-travelled”, which means that whilst the food we use is local and seasonal, we take influence from our travels and combine international flavours to create dishes with bold, interesting flavours. Our menus are designed with an emphasis on small plates designed for sharing. This dining concept lets the guests choose from a great variety of small plates enabling them to maximise their dining experience by trying a number of dishes rather than the traditional starter/main concept. Coffee roasting and careful sourcing is a huge part of our story. We roast small batches of beans daily on our Loring roaster using beans sourced from around the world. We source green coffee from single farms and estates in the speciality coffee market where the focus is quality, provenance, sustainability, freshness and fair relationships with the growers. In June 2024 we became B Corp certified - which is a pretty rare feat for restaurants! Our inclusion is down to things like our sustainable coffee sourcing programs, energy efficient roasting and charity partnerships, including our Female Producer Programme, which see's us source at least 50% of our coffee from women - owned farms.

Last week we launched our latest limited-edition coffee: the Fruit Sticker Co-Ferment 🍊 🍉 🥭 🍍 It’s a truly unique coffee and one which celebrates the fun and creative side of the coffee industry. Our Head of Coffee, Andrea Otte, selected this coffee from Jairo Arcila, a renowned producer based in Armenia, Colombia, known for his particularly interesting processing techniques. This coffee is a blend of Pink Bourbon and Castillo varietals, which have been anaerobically fermented with orange, lychee and wine yeast. They come together to create a vibrant and interesting cup with clean notes of tropical fruits and citrus. So our recent Manchester launch event was A LOT. We gave a tour of the new restaurant site - with spritz's in hand of course. After our building site viewing we mosied up to The Stables for even MORE cocktails, and a Caravan Cookbook inspired dinner party... Cornbread galore! 🌸 SILVER AWARD WINNER!! 🎉 We’re over the moon to announce that our vibrant and playful display at Vardo, inspired by our delicious La Bomba cocktail, won a silver award last week at Chelsea in Bloom! Drawing inspiration from the essence of summer strawberries, La Bomba is a fruity delight infused with the vibrant flavours of strawberry and juniper, topped off with champagne—perfect for those with a sweet tooth. The 2 metre tall, striking installation embodies the theme of Floral Feasts and has truly brought our vision to life. What an excellent week and a huge thank you to Amarante London for their incredible work and creativity.
