thank you to the finance committee for having me give evidence on the financial crisis which has hit our rural areas our groups are struggling to open bank accounts, credit union accounts, they are struggling with digital skills as everything moves online our rural communities are having to drive further to access cash and banks/banking services, they struggle with access to broadband and digital skills our border communities are struggling with delays in wage payments for cross border workers and they are struggling to prove their income to lend from banks in their own jurisdiction because they work in another jurisdiction
