Great to be at the Scotsman Conferences and Events Sustainable Scotland, Green Skills Conference in Aberdeen today. ❌ No shying away from fundamental skills and the transition challenges, but huge optimism around renewable opportunities in the North East and beyond. 🔧 By 2050, the UK energy sector needs to recruit 400,000 people to fill new roles and replace workforce leavers. The scale of this task and the associated economic opportunity can be under appreciated. 💡 Clear need for better, sustained and collaborative communication about Scotland’s leadership in this next phase for the enemy industry. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Sector positivity is there, even if we’re not always bullish enough about articulating it. #Renewables #Communications #Energytransition
