The centre, which is being built by Davlyn Construction Limited, is taking shape beautifully, and we’re on track to deliver a vibrant hub for the community, featuring a Sainsbury’s Local, additional shops, a café/bistro and Forest House Medical Centre. It’s exciting to see a crane up at our development site in Edwalton, near Nottingham. Retirement housing provider Anchor is carrying forward this part of the scheme and is currently building a three-storey development of 77 retirement apartments on the corner of Melton Road and Rose Way. Charterpoint Group Ltd will develop the remainder of the site which will feature a single-storey convenience store. We’ve just celebrated a major milestone at the Local Centre we’re developing in conjunction with The Drummond Trust at the pioneering new community of New Lubbesthorpe in Leicestershire. Work is well underway on a new local centre at New Lubbesthorpe in Leicestershire being delivered by Charterpoint Group Ltd, in association with landowner The Drummond Trust. Derby-based contractor Davlyn Construction Limited has been appointed to build the two-storey, mixed-use development known as the Brook Centre, which will house a Sainsbury's’s Local store and four additional units for retail, including a café/bistro on the ground floor. We’re delighted to share this flythrough which shows proposals for our Neighbourhood Centre and Senior Living development at Westcombe Park, garden suburb Maldon in Essex. They include a 66-bed care home, later living apartments, a health centre, convenience store and other retail units, plus a day nursery. Our proposals form part of the mixed-use development of Westcombe Park, a sustainable urban extension to the north of Maldon set over 418 acres. Countryside Partnerships, now part of the Vistry Group, is the master developer of the project, which includes more than 1,000 homes, with 30% affordable, new community facilities, a proposed new primary school and nursery, new parks, play areas, sports pitches and allotments, plus a new relief road, footpaths and cycleways. Super to visit Fosse Way View care home in Bingham and see how well the development has embedded into the local community. We handed over the completed 70-bed care home to @HC-One more than three years ago now. Built on the site of the former police station, the development has provided a care home that’s easily accessible to the town centre and close to community facilities.
