This International Men's Day, let's shift the focus from blame to collaboration. We believe that creating a truly inclusive workplace means recognising and addressing the unique experiences of men, too. While DEI efforts often spotlight underrepresented groups, men can sometimes feel left out or even targeted. Imagine John, a well-intentioned manager, attending a mandatory DEI training. Despite his best efforts, he leaves feeling confused and unsure of how to contribute. He wants to be an ally, but the focus on past mistakes makes him feel defensive rather than empowered. John's story isn't uncommon. Men can be valuable allies in creating a more inclusive workplace, but they need to be approached with empathy and understanding. By shifting the conversation away from blame and toward actionable steps, we can empower men to become active participants in DEI initiatives. 💜 Purple Tuesday is more than just a color. It’s a call to action for a more inclusive workplace. On this day, we’re reminded of the everyday challenges that disabled employees face—often unseen by many. From inaccessible workspaces and technology to a disability pay gap that sees disabled workers earning less on average than their non-disabled peers, the workplace can be a source of added hurdles rather than support. Imagine navigating a workspace where tools aren’t accessible, or facing assumptions that limit growth opportunities. These are the realities for many disabled employees, and addressing these barriers is essential not just for inclusion but for justice.
